I've been doing yoga on and off for years, but I've never used a video. I teach at a college and usually take classes here, but this semester the yoga classes on campus don't fit into my schedule. However, I would still like to continue. In the past, if I'm not in a class, I forget all the sequences of poses and so I don't do it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good yoga video for someone like me (not beginning but not advanced)?

my yoga video is for beginners, but my audio recordings are for intermediate and advanced students (though many intermediate students like my video too).

you can find it at my web site (http://www.jenifermparker.com).

Thanks zoebird, but I don't think an audio tape would be enough for me. I like to see the poses.

I like the Crunch Candlelight Yoga DVD. I know, it sounds awful and cheesy, but it's actually quite good. It's led by Sarah Ivanhoe, who I think is clear in her directions and not annoying. There are two workouts on it, a longer one for evening and shorter "energizer" workout for the morning. Some poses are challenging, but she has someone in the group doing modified poses all the way through so you can look to that person if something is too hard for you. In my experience, DVDs are never as good as a real-life class, but this is the best one I've found. Good luck!

well, then you can buy the video. :) there are lots of poses, and a lot of people find it to be a good routine. it's also a very didactic video, with lots of focus on alignment and modifications. :)
