I normally just buy the 89 cent shampoo/conditioner and hope that I can tolerate the frangrance. I try to rinse thoroughly. At most, I may get a little itchy. I also water down the shampoo and spray it with a spray bottle so I can use as little as possible.

I was thinking I might want to try making some fragrance free shampoo. I have found some pre-made, but they are very expensive.

I can get clearly natural unscented glycerin soap relatively cheap. Has anyone had success turning bar soap into a liquid one?

I've tried and it usually turns out uneven or chunky. Any tips?

And what fragrance free thing could I use for conditioner? (although I might buy that since good conditioner is worth spending money)

Spend the money to use something unscented that doesn't irritate you! It's worth it!
I used to be extremely sensitive to fragrances and the cheaper ones REEEEALLY set me off. Lately my allergies haven't been so extreme though, not sure why.

I always dilute my shampoos way way down though - they last a lot longer that way.

But just letting you know - I have used the Honesty brand (http://www.honestycosmetics.co.uk/honesty-unscented-range-cruelty-free-shop-shopping-vegetarian-vegan-not-animal-tested-honesty-store-ethical-environmentally-friendly-green-makeup-cosmetics-perfume-household-organic-natural.shtml)products (veg-friendly and cruelty free - can't swear they're totally 100% vegan but close I think) in the past with a lot of luck, no irritation and no scents...

My favorite though is the Rainbow Kids (http://www.veganstore.com/body-care/for-children/rainbow-kids-shampoo/Page_1/073.html)line... unscented and really gentle. (I linked to it on Pangea's website but my HFS sells it too)

you could use castile soap--it's quite simple to use. i put mine in a spray bottle. :)
