I sprained my foot while running a week ago. Some ligaments got damaged and also a small bone fracture occurred. Now I can't run for several months. It's actually healing relatively well and the pain has gone down a lot, but I was wondering if there is anything special in my diet that I should watch out for to help the healing process. (I'm vegan) Thanks!

Not anything backed up by solid science. I'm sure that the new-age pseudo-scientific fringe has plenty of suggestions. As long as you're consuming a widely varied whole-foods diet, you'll do fine. Sorry about your injury - get better soon! :pibo:

Eating nutrient dense foods will improve and expedite the process. Eat foods with the most nutrients while still maintaining sufficient caloric intake. If you want a sample list I can get you one.
Fasting may also help.

Wouldn't fasting just weaken your system and make it harder to heal..?
I want to recommend iron rich foods, for some reason, its just what my gut tells me, spinich and etc.

No, fasting will enable your body to repair faster because it is not spending so much energy digesting food. Dr. Fuhrman had an injury in the professional figure skating in that same area and all the doctors told him they would have to operate and so on. He fasted for 20-30 days and his ankle was healed. The story is in his book "Fasting and Eating for Health".
I can post the full story and exact time and body part if you are interested.
