I have a treadmill but haven't able to run in a long time. Like a couple weeks. My dad works third shift and the treadmill is right across the room from where he sleeps during the day so i don't have any time to run. With his new hours he has to sleep when i normally run.... Anyway, i don't want to get out of shape with running/jogging. it's not like i would gain weight since i think i'm doing enough other stuff but i like to run too. i ran outside but ended up literally tripping on a root and falling, so I'd much rather run on a treadmill and have less risk of killing myself. well, that was an exaggeration..... should i be worried though?? about getting out of shape with running?

Why can't you run another time? If you go without exercising you will get out of shape, but I'm not sure how much damage is caused with how much time of no running. I would try to find a way to run, though. Maybe a track. Maybe a different time. Maybe a gym. Maybe moving the treadmill.

Running outside is nice. Run early morning or 6 PM. That way it isn't too hot out.

Another vote for running outside.

any chance you could get an elliptical machine? they hardly make any noise, you can work out just as hard, and it's easier on your joints than running.

I second the suggestions to either move the treadmill or run outside. So far, you've been "able" to run, you just haven't found the conditions favorable. True inability is something else.

Lol. Good discussion going on. I support running outside. It's interesting to see what's going on around you sometimes. Run when your father is not sleeping. Simple.
