Mmmmm... Worthington's Wham

Has anyone ever tried Worthington's Wham? I've had it in my freezer for months, but I've been too afraid to try it. IT'S AWESOME! It tastes almost exactly like ham (well, the way I remember it). If you have the chance to buy it, do it :) It's a vegetarian (not vegan) frozen product. It's great just warmed in a pan.

This is also very good to make wham salad sandwiches...Make the same as you would have made (:sealed: ham :sealed:) Sorry...Wham salad is so much better... Its been so long I forgot what the other tastes like...THANK GOD

I've never heard of this Wham stuff before, though. I guess they just don't carry it all around here. Your broccoli dish looks pretty good!

Ahahahaha.... now see... Wham (the fake-meat) has been around since the '60's and my mom used to buy it for our school lunches (there were very few meat substitutes available for us vegetarians back then).

When the musical group WHAM came out, my sisters and I were very amused that they would name themselves after a fake-meat product!!

Everytime I tell someone I love Wham, they immediately think of the 80's band. *haha* Wham reminds me of Zoolander! ORANGE MOCHA FRAPPUCCINO!

I ended up making a Wham Melt (http://shippersx.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/whammelt.jpg)right after I was able to go to the store and buy more (On monday I think). My boyfriend liked it so much that we had it 2 days in a row for lunch. Turned out better the second time because I added another slice of cheese and mustard :) Yum Yum!

Yes, try it Sprout, I do'nt think it taste like what I REALLY remember ham tasting like...Its pretty good but all those prosessed (sp?) non meats are VERY salty...

I thought it tasted pretty close to ham... different texture, but about the same flavor. It's seriously been so long since I've had ham (about 2 years) that I cannot remember the exact taste. I have memories, but I know they wouldn't match the reality.

When I gave up meat, for a long time I was craving it. I went so long without any and out of nowhere, I just HAD to have chicken. I was really bad and had some. I took a bite and it was not even close to what I remembered it. After that, no meat at all. No desire to.

I think it's pretty good, a little sweeter than real ham I think. Not too expensive for the size. I forgot about making Wham sandwiches.

I really missed honeybaked ham, so this product, when I found it, made me SUPER HAPPY! :) I didn't find it expensive either. Wham sandwiches and Wham melts. Or... Broccoli Wham Ring (http://shippersx.com/blog/2007/07/14/broccoli-wham-ring/)

My Mom made a Mac and Cheese casserole and instead of ham, I put Wham. It was good.

Totally off topic but when my daughter was learning to read, she saw the HoneyBaked Ham store and read it and said "Look, Mom. It's Honey Bucket Ham!"

We still call it that!

When my sister was little, she called Ghostbusters... Gee-by-you (don't know how she spelled that one). I don't know where she came up with that, but she was like 2 or 3 at the time. We still call it that. :)
