It looks as if someone tried to give a zebra a respray. . . then ran out of white paint halfway through the job.
But in reality there is no artificial colouring on display here. This amazing but natural coat belongs to Eclyse the zorse.
Her father is a zebra, while her mother is a horse. And she's walking proof of how a child inherits genes from both parents.

What a cutie. I'd have imagined the stripes would have just come out less evident, rather than that skewbald pattern.

That looks so photoshopped. Here are some real "zorses".

Are zebras mixed with horses fertile?

I always wanted to see that paint version of a zebroid. Or an appaloosa, that would be interesting.
Are zebras mixed with horses fertile?
I don't think so, I think that even the offspring of two difference species of zebras would sterile. I pretty sure that the zeedonk (or zebrass) can't reproduce.

I'm kind of curious why someone would want to cross a horse with a zebra?

I feel like humans who do this sort of thing are just using these animals for their own science experiments, like "Oooh let's see what will happen", and to just make a news spectacle of it. It's kind of sick actually. :worried:

If you read the article you'll see Eclyse was an accident. Don't tell him though, could cause the little guy all sorts of emotional problems.

The title confused me at first. I thought it had something to do with a road. :p

Eclyse is no more "photoshopped" than the ones you linked to. Look closer at the ones with the brown coats. The patches of horse coat and zebra coat are just as abrupt as on Eclyse's coat. No evidence of Photoshopping to my eye, especially when you look closely at the edges of the mane where it overlays on the background.
Here's another set of images of Eclyse for comparison:

Hope that helps :)

No, it's not photoshopped at all. Zebras are actually made from white horses, then they paint on the black stripes. The painter just hasn't finished with this one. Just like this previously white bike (http://www.ultimatejourney.com/ISL.ZebraPD.JPG), or this ipod (http://www.drbott.info/pic/i-Doll_Zebra_5G.jpg), and you can also see this baby (http://michaellwittig.tripod.com/blog/zebra.jpg).

I agree.
I'm actually kind of surprised humans haven't tried to cross humans with any other animals similar to ourselves.
