Probably, do you have any infections/ are you sick? Does it hurt? If it does not go away, especially if it does not hurt, you should go to your doctor. It is most likely just swollen though. I get those all the time.

It hurts if I press on it and I've had a low grade fever about 99' for weeks

I had something like that near my armpit ( home type diagnosis from my mom). It eventually went away on it's own.

berrykat: I changed the thread title because every time I saw it I kept thinking "what on earth is a lumo?" Then I realized you mean LUMP.

See a doctor! :notvegan:

Hey, Berrykat! I have two swollen lymph nodes behind my ear that have remained there for a year. I'm not worried about them now. BUT the reason I'm not is that I went to the doctor and got them checked out thoroughly.

So, long story short, go visit the doctor, and then you can stop worrying. ;) But that doctor part is crucial. :)

I've had sebaceous cysts behind my ear before that really hurt if I bump them or push on them. They're from blocked oil glands from what I understand. They usually go away in a few days.

I don't think swollen lymph nodes are usually painful, but I'm not a doctor, I could be wrong. I'd see one especially if it doesn't go away soon.

I don't have health insurance and have very little money so unless I'm really really sick I don't see the doc.

I was wondering what a "lumo" was too. :o
