Well, not exclusively vegetarian, but they have the most fantastic fake meat subs if you're into that sort of thing. I love little boutique veg*n-only places, but what really warms my heart is to see mainstream businesses offering a wide vegetarian selection. They can do:

Veggie Turkey
Veggie Salami
Veggie Bologna
Veggie Burger
Veggie Philly Cheese Steak

The turkey and salami are by far the best. Cheese Steak is good if you like them (I don't) and the bologna and burger are blah. They tell me that their veggie meat is supplied to them by 7th-day Adventists, a Christian sect which encourages vegetarianism. I don't know how they do it, but their products run circles around Yves and Smart Deli. They can also sub veggie meat in their specialty sub if you're hankering for a turkey-and-cranberry sandwich.

They've got locations (http://www.capriottis.com/images/newmenu.htm) in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. If you're nearby, check them out!

mmm...no clue actually. Their website has a few email addresses on it and they could probably at least tell you who the supplier is if not answer the question.

OMG I just had their subs in Vegas.. The cheesesteak sans cheese was AMAZING! I had NO IDEA they had one in Arizona.. I am somewhat close to the Ahwatukee location.

I didn't even check to make sure it was vegan.. *slaps hand* they said 100% meatless soy.... But I might just call them to make sure.

WHOOHOO! The veggie cheesesteak meat is vegan. *sigh of relief* But all the other deli slices have egg white.

The service at the Ahwatukee location generally ranges from indifferent to dismissive, but they can sure make a tasty sandwich. They also always wear basketball shorts which weirds me out for some reason.

i LOVE this shop. this is one of the reasons i crave going to vegas (although i am perfectly capable of making my own sandwich, it's not the same). i always bring a sandwich for the flight home too! fyi, the turkey they use is worthington (which is how i got introduced to worthington). not sure about the other "meats" though. i would guess that the salami is worthington also since they make that product.

Yes, the "turkey", "salami" and "bologna" are products made by Worthington (which was started by The Seventh Day Adventist Church back when they had the leading info/manufacturing of faux meat in the US).

I don't believe the company is owned by them any more (I think they've combined with a similar company - Loma Linda) , but the Worthington brand is still hard to find in mainstream health food stores and such.

Many of their fake meats are a bazillion times better tasting than Yves and other companies but they do use egg-whites in some, so check labels or ask. (still OK for vegetarians obviously).
