I am writing a research paper for eng- 9 and I need sources for my info, so I can have in- text citations about animal cruelty and animal rights ( thats what its about) . The catch is I need at least 4 from different sources (not just PETA). I already have peta and Veg for life. They also must be legitimate and good information.

Try the Humane Society of the United States - http://www.hsus.org/
The ASPCA - http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=community_home
API - http://www.api4animals.org/legislation_archive_state_map.php
It all depends on what your research paper is going to be about.

its just on pro-animal rights in general, but im looking at it on the eating meat angle. So I need a citation besides PETA for: how chickens are kept in crowded cages, how workers abuse animals and others.

Then those website would probably work, maybe also a quote from Gandhi such as "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated. "
Mohandas Gandhi
Maybe, also go on google and get some reliable facts, studies and evidence...especialy ones that prove that animals have emotions and can feel pain (since that is the basis of your essay).

I already tried that, thats why I posted this. The problem is, those websites arent organizations usually, just private sites.

can you use all websites? some teachers require books as well. i'd say use the case for animal rights by... tom somebody (can't think of his name right now) it's a very insightful book. there are many other novels as well that could help you, because most of the better ones are written by professors and, well, people who know what they're talking about.
in my opinion that's more credible than any peta article could be, seeing as most people who aren't veg (and some who are, for that matter) view peta as a domestic terrorist organization.

I agree with the fact that PETA is not the best website/source to quote. You might not be taken seriously and probably will be criticized. It's just not the best source, a book or a more respected organization would be better(with a better reputation). I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just trying to give good advice for writting a paper. Google is a great website to write a paper  .
