Well, the flavors I've tried so far, anyway.

A few weeks ago, I stopped into the local co-op market and there, inside at the entrance, they had a display of a variety of flavors of Honest Tea, in the glass bottles. Somewhere in the back of my memory I thought I detected my sister mentioning something about Honest Tea. I bought a couple bottles of Moroccan Mint Green Tea, stuck 'em in the fridge when I got home, and sampled one a day later.

Two days later, both bottles were gone.

Next time I went to the co-op, the display had shrunk. I managed to snag the only bottle of MMG I could find, but also got a bottle of Lori's Lemon Tea.

Those disappeared.

I stopped into the co-op last week again, and the display had shrunk even more. They had only two flavors left: (although a few bottles of other flavors in the cooler in the back of the store) Just Black and Decaf Ceylon. So I bought a bottle of each and a couple bottles of Lori's Lemon (no MMG, damnit).

I downed that bottle of Decaf Ceylon in minutes. The Just Black is good, too. It's the only one of the four flavors I've tried so far that's completely unsweetened. Normally, I like just a little sweetener in my tea, both iced and hot, but once I get past the unsweetened nature of the Just Black, I like the flavor.

Here's the link to their product page, hope it works: http://honesttea.com/page.php?id=68&subid=69

I should add that of the four flavors I've tried so far, only one is not vegan, the Moroccan Mint Green Tea, because it has honey in it. The other three are vegan. I don't know yet about the flavors I haven't tried.

My sister says she's gotten her bottles of Honest Tea in Whole Foods. As a matter of fact, she said that when she was drinking the Moroccan Mint Green Tea (she no longer drinks caffeinated drinks), she'd ask for a whole case of it there.

Honest Tea - yum! I like the ones that are just ever so gently sweet.

(I hate, hate, hate the so-called "Sweet Tea" - which is probably the official state drink of Virginia!)

I order tea in bulk from The Republic of Tea (www.republicoftea.com). Ummmmm Ginger Peach!

yummy!!! Honest Tea!

the only thing that sucks - IMO - is that I've started seeing it in plastic bottles instead of glass ... don't really want to be supporting the petro conglomerates any more than I have to, so I try to snag the glass bottles whenever I can ...

I've now tried a few more flavors. I really like the Decaf Ceylon. I've also tried the unsweetened Just Green Tea, which is the first one I don't really care for. The flavor is a little too bitter... When I drink it hot, which I often do in Asian restaurants, I enjoy it, but when it's cold I don't really like it. :-/

Yeah, I like the ones that have a 'tad of sweetener' - I think that's how they put it!

I bought some of this today. I have the 'Green Dragon Tea' which is green tea and passion fruit. Also the pomegranate white tea with a touch of acai. The green dragon tea is 'just a tad sweet' and good. I couldn't find any unsweetened which is usually my first choice.

On the plastic bottle it says that they have introduced plastic because glass can't go in all places and that the plastic is fully recyclable, and requires less energy to produce and ship. That's what the bottle says at least.

I haven't even SEEN that flavor sold anywhere.

The Decaf Ceylon as far as I'm concerned is the winner here. It's turned out to be my favorite. :lick:

The previously posted links are broken, so here: http://www.honesttea.com/products/glass/

no listing of the Decaf Ceylon. I think they discontinued it. :brood:

That figures. I discover something I like to replace the diet Dr. Pepper, and it's discontinued. :wall:

I'm planning to send Honest Tea an email asking them if they've discontinued the Decaf Ceylon. It's not listed with their current glass bottle flavors, but it's not mentioned in the discontinued varieties section on their website, either. So I really don't know. :(

If it's NOT discontinued and I can find it somewhere, I'll buy it by the case. So there! :p

and oh, btw, fadeaway asked about the Gold Rush Cinnamon, and that IS one of the discontinued varieties. Sorry about that. :(

No, I'm basically a n00b when it comes to bottled teas (REAL bottled teas, that is, not the Lipton crap).

Anyway, another reason I love Honest Tea is because they have a wonderful little saying on the inside of each bottle cap. I'm having some HT with my lunch right now, and today's saying is:

No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but Coca Cola purchased 40% of Honest Tea last February which is very disappointing to me.

That link said nothing about it...Also Honest Tea addressed the sale to Coca Cola on their website. As much as I don't dig Coke its along the same line as Toms of Maine, now ownde by a large company but the ethics of the company won't change. Personally I think its a good move to get a great product into more stores, which means more people will be exposed to delicious Organic, Free Trade healthier drinks.
