Forgive me if this thread already exists. I wasn't finding anything in a search ...
Have you discovered any home furnishing stores that go above and beyond to help (or at least not contribute to hurting) animals? The man and I have been searching for a leather-type chair for the family room, minus the actual leather of course. We were given the name of a St. Louis chain that intentionally stocks zero animal leather products, http://www.carolhouse.com/. I'd noticed in the past that they include adopt a stray messages in their TV ads, but upon visiting the store I noticed they even go so far as to provide Go Veg material at the front doors. This sort of thing isn't exactly a common thing in the Midwest, so I was especially intriqued.
Any other ideas for animal-friendly and/or environmentally friendly home stores?
