You can also add coarsly chopped walnuts for a chunky, nutty brownie.
Also, try this recipe frozen; it is quite yummy.

I love this recipe for a (relatively) healthy treat. I use 1 cup walnuts, 12 dates, and 1/3 cup carob. Super easy, and yummy - my partner inhales them.
Oh, and I also add a dash vanilla extract, yum!

Somehow strange for me.
I am not native English speaker and in translation raw and brownie are really contradicting each other. Brownie means that it is baked, how it can be raw?

:-/
The English Language can become twisted at times...sorry.
"Brownie" is meant to describe a square, rich chocolate, treat with a thick cake-like texture.
They are traditionally baked in a pan, but the name describes the general flavor and shape of the treat...not the cooking method.

I made this over the weekend. Like Jennifer N, I added a bit of vanilla, but I used cocoa instead of carob powder.
They were soooooo good! Even my husband was impressed.

I made it about 5 minutes ago - my first raw vegan dessert ever. Soo good. I was surprised, I gotta say. My boyfriend loves it too. We ate it right out of the blender. :)
I used almonds instead of walnuts (because I didn't have any) and added some vanilla to it.
DELISH!

Yeah this recipe is awesome. Three ingredents and like 1 minuted to actually make (not counting the freezing time). Raw cacao is the best thing ever!

Although I'm not a raw foodist, I did experiment with raw foodism and came upon a similar type of recipe using raw nut butter, carob powder, dates, honey, and vanilla. I made it into balls so it was more of a truffle dessert than fudge :D.
I now make a version of this with nut butter (not always raw), cocoa powder, maple syrup, dates or figs, and vanilla. This dessert has literally saved me several times from binging on non-vegan junk food at night.
