NO GIMMICK!

You are on this page because you know me personally or are on my list. Therefore, you are well aware that I would NOT send you something that is just a gimmick. You know that I am true to health & fitness and am ALWAYS looking out for your overall health and not the mighty pocket book.If the pocket book was the case I would be sending you so much junk and trying to sell you things I do not believe in just to make a penny. Obviously...that is NOT me.

Sneak Preview!

First..you are funny :)
Ya know it took me a few days to decide to send this 'thinking' it may be spam. The only reason I THUNK it wasn't was because it is nothing I am selling.

I just thought it was a great thing...yes, they do give away my ebook as one of the many giveaways when you sign up, but that's it.

Seriously...I apologize 1000 times if this truly is considered spam.

Mods - please feel free to take away if you believe it is.

Whether you are actually selling it for money is irrelevent. You are using the board to sell your friends web-site and the workout pass and telling people that they can win prizes. You're also indirectly promoting yourself which is also a business. That is spamming.

The moderators have discussed this.

VB is very anti-spam. You may have noticed that the moderators are extremely vigilant in combatting UNWANTED commercial ventures from people who join solely for the purpose of soliciting their product.

That is not the case here.

Barrylove has been a member here for over a year. he has contributed to our community in many ways. We have no problem with members promoting their commercial ventures here WITHIN REASON. We have Arbonne reps, cottage industries, veg*n suppliers, etc, who take advantage of the marketing opportunities inherent in our social construct. No problem, so long as that's not their sole purpose for being here, and so long as they are established members who have something to offer our community beyond their commercial venture.

Barrylove fits that criteria. He is welcome to leave his post where it is. Thank you for your concern. In the future, if you are concerned about the appropriateness of a particular post, feel free to discuss it with the Moderators directly (report post).

Body for life has animated exercises, as do a lot of other websites. Maybe I don't get what the big "new" thing is.

From what i can tell, it's just a multi-pass, where you get membership into several workout sites for one price. *shrug* yeah, doesn't look like something I'm terribly interested in myself... I really don't like paying for site memberships, no matter what the content is...

Ah, the multi-pass is new (?)

I tried to report this post, but the report post function isnt working for me and some other members I know.

Fine. I guess I have a totally different idea of what "within reason" means but hey, it's not my board so carry on :)

Obviously, I am aware of the many websites out there. There are OTNS of great ones, that is for sure.
This one in particular is a combination of thousands of different workouts by lots of different fitness guru's (who already have their own websites) that specialize in many different forms of exercise. The list of choices will grow as Workoutpass grows.

Personally, I think it is a fabulous thing for say a family of fitness enthusiasts. THe father can get his workout, the mother hers, the daughter who plays soccer gets hers and the son who does not play sports but just wants to workout can get his own also.

Exercise may not be for everyone, but knowing how many of my fellow VBers like to exercise I figured I would let you all know about this.

Barry

I understnad your concern and I would not 'intentionally' spam the board. I was taking it from a 'helping others' side knowing that som many people here have tons of questions. I get PM'd with lots ot different question, so I thought it would be a good idea to give evertone an answer.

Sorry for any negative feelings.

If/when the report post function doesn't work, you can PM a moderator. It's a good idea to PM at least two mods about an issue because sometimes a mod takes a day or two off because of offline life events, and we like to deal with spammers and trollers quickly.

My favorite part is all the words that are capitalized for emphasis. It's such a delight to read. I mean, words like special and free take on a whole new meaning when they are written in all caps. :)

Can you break it down in, like, two sentences what this is about for people like me with short attention spans and who don't want to leave the safety of VB to learn stuff. Also make it less sales pitchy. That'd be awesome. Thanks Barry. :)

You can pay a membership fee and access a database with a whole bunch of exercise websites on it. Then you can click on said websites and see animated exercises for that part of the body.

Hmm. Still a little salespitchy I'm afraid. Please try again.

Sure, it's "salespitchy"...that tends to happen when someone is trying to sell something. :)

Randy's already addressed this above.

Um...8227

I have no problem with Barry posting that. I think he's a great guy and I think promoting physical fitness is laudable (plus he's huge and could totally kick my ass). But that doesn't make the language and writing style used beyond reproach now does it. :)

Personally, I'm in no way offended by Barry posting something fitness related in the Fitness thread.

I mean, we've had people come on the boards begging for money before and there was less stink made about it!

Nor am I offended by jeezycreezy's lifelong crusade to make the world more succinct.

LIES!!!! :grr:
Hi everyone.....
Sorry for ANY problems that may have been caused by this thread.
It was posted in the Physical Fitness thread because #1 I love fintess & #2 there are so many questions about working out: What kind of workout should I be doing? How many reps should I do? Not sure when to eat or how much to eat. .......just to name a few.

When I heard about this I thought it would be great to show you guys/gals. Thought it would give you and your friends and family members plenty of choices and answers to many questions.

This site is simply an answer to many questions for many different mobilities.

As many of you are aware I am also working on a Ebook with answers to the ridiculous questiosn we VBers get on a daily basis. I started a thread about this a few months ago asking VBers to list all of the questions they get because I was going to create an ebook. This was not brought up as 'spam', but some may also think this way. How do I let you all know when this is out?
What I will do is pay for a banner when the book is out instead of trying to deceive my fellow VBers by posting a thread.

I may delete this thread in respect to all VBers.

can't say I am sorry enough.....

WonderRandy

Don't worry about it Barry. Seriously. You're all right in our book.

Don't delete it, barry. I see this as no different than someone who just discovered a new vegan product, or whose friend is selling vegan products, and posting about it.

It's something you're passionate about. Don't feel sorry about that.
