I didn't really like it. It had a bit of a nutty flavor to me, so I pushed it all off my apple pie. (; Guess I have to develop a taste for it.

I have some of this but in a box form ...not sure if it is different than the can stuff?
I bought it because it was advertised as a heavy cream substitute and I was going to try using it in my vegan alfredo but I am wondering if it is not 'that'
kind of heavy cream sub. I haven't used it yet though.
Has anyone used the box one?

If you are talking about Alpro Soya, yes! It's very good. I tried to whip it like heavy cream but it didn't work. But it definitely is excellent as a heavy cream substitute in recipes.

No, it isn't Alpro Soya - it is from Soyatoo like the canned one. I bought it from Vegan essentials. Since I can't link to their page correctly. Here it is:
Here is the description:
Ideal to use like a classic whipped cream for cakes, desserts and fruits, this heavy cream substitute whips into a creamy topping easily and has a delicious flavor and texture that’s sure to make your desserts better than ever. It’s also excellent in making unique hearty sauces and for a base in homemade salad dressings, too! 300ml container is $4.29.
Ingredients: Soy drink (water, organic soybeans), organic coconut fat, organic palm butter, organic sugar beet syrup, organic corn maltodextrin, tartaric acid, seaweed extract (thickener), sea salt, natural vanilla extract

I love soyatoo! On top of soy/almond hot chocolate, chais, cake, soy ice cream sundaes, fruit or anything!

I'm usually open-minded, but I gotta say it sounds nasty. Still, I'll give it a shot.
