25 mins on the cross trainer (cardio workout), 15 mins cycling machine, 15 mins rowing, and jogged two miles.
And I've been doing 25 sit ups a day, I want to work that number up as I go on, because I find them horrendously hard, I've even asked a friend who's a trainer at my gym to check if I'm doing them right. And yep, I'm just lazy :whack:

I lurked on the old hamster thread last summer. I'm trying to improve in swimming and get in better shape in general now, so maybe this will help. Yesterday I swam for 1 1/2 hours (a mile and a 1/2 maybe? I didn't keep track.) Today I did free weights and some crunches and will do more before I go to bed.

I pulled out of the closet my old faithful thigh master Monday and have been working the heck out of it this week. There has recently been a new development in my health and I go to the Neurologist Monday 1/22 so hopefully it isn't what my primary physician thinks it is, but either way I'm getting weaker each day and my marathon days may soon be over. Anyways I will continue to get some form of exercise for the rest of my life until I can't anymore. I do walk 1/2 mile up hill to work from the train and will continue to do that until I can't any longer. Wish me luck!

Yesterday I went to the gym and did 20 minutes cross training, 25 on the treadmill, 20 on the bike and 10 on the rowing machine, and then 25 sit ups at home.
Today I have a nasty sore throat so I'm going to sit with just doing some stretches and sit ups. I wanted to go on a bike ride but England's currently getting the worse storms in 17 years and I'd literally get blown off my bike :grr:

well.... I am by NO means a fitster, but am looking to be more so. I'm working on losing some weight after the holidays, but more importantly after having been full of baby for the most part of the last year.
I don't run - ick - but I do try to make a point to go out for a big walk with little bebe in her mega stroller as often as I can. A brisk walk pushing that stroller and 15lbs of bebe in a city as hilly as here is a nice little work out. I usually go about 5-6 kms.
I've also been trying to make my living room my own private gym. I am currently home with little girl all day, so I've been trying to add more cardio by putting on crazy 80's tunes and dancing like a fool for Sofia for about 1/2 an hour a day. Makes her laugh - makes me sore!
I also try to do as many little toning exercises as I can. I have no weights (plans to buy some soon) so I use jars of beets :p and do some shoulder and bicep/tricep exercises. Also many, many lunges and squats, holding the bebe. whew.
But my biggest thing is my now softy belly. All I really know to do is crunches - which I don't mind doing, but I know that I need other exercises for the other muscles in there. Can anyone give me any advice there? I have no equipment, and will not be buying any (except maybe little weights).
So that's MY story - I'll let you all know how it goes. Wish me luck!

Hey, everyone. Sooo... I decided to join the hamster club. :hamster:
I'm a 14 year old vegan girl who is training for track.
I'm just looking pretty much to tone up. :sunny:
So... today I ran/walked on the treadmill for 20 min.
And later today I'm going to try and squeeze in 10 more plus 500 crunches (I have an extremely strong stomach from my previous days as a gymnast and cheerleader), 100-ish lunges, and some general toning exercizes. Yep. :rock on:

I swam Tuesday-Friday this week, yesterday I lifted weights and did about 200 crunches and some pushups and today I took about a mile or two bike ride. (It wasn't a very serious hard ride, but atleast I got out of the house and excersized.):nana:

The weather has finally let up, so I went out on my bike for half an hour :bobo: It was mostly flat and low hills.
Later on I'll do some stretches and sit ups too, I want some food first though

I sit on my butt a lot ... I feel robbed of energy [I need a smoothie really bad!].
Someone motivate me! I ought to put in one of our workout DVDs and start learning the routines so I can get going a little and tone up.
I am such a good weight [actually a little under what I should be], but I am so untoned that I still feel like a bowl of muck [I feel fat ... even though I'm really not ... I'm just jiggly and untoned].
What's your motivation to get your booty off the seat and into action?

My biggest motivation for doing my morning workouts is this: without them, I struggle to stay awake at work. I noticed that although I need to get out of bed an hour and a half earlier to do my yoga or running routines, I have so much more energy throughout the day. If I decide to skip exercise and sleep in instead, ironically, those are the days when my energy drops. I start feeling sluggish in the afternoon hours and struggle to stay awake at my desk.
Plus, this way I get to watch the sun rise every morning! It's beautiful and quiet.

I think I'll start posting here again. :)
I'll recap from last weekend til today to get current.
Last Saturday: 2 mile run.
Last Monday: 3 miles.
Last Thursday: 2 miles.
Yesterday (Friday) 2 miles
Today (Saturday the 10th) Not quite 4 miles so I'll say 3.5.
I also did some upper body work with a 25 lb. dumbbell, mainly for my arms and shoulders.
I just recently started my running season again for the year.
I don't seem to run well when it's cold so I took a few months off, plus since I run almost exclusively on concrete I figured my knees and ankles could use the rest.
But, Spring is back here and that means I can get back at it.
Last spring and summer I was doing 5 milers about 4-5 times a week. I'm hoping to work back up to that and possibly surpass it. I'm not really trying for distance or speed, just love running and like the workout.

Today - 8 miles. It was so beautiful outside, and I ran along the river the whole time. The canadian geese are migrating so they were all over the place. About a mile in, this goose was staring across the river at the city & it looked like he was watching the sun set.
When I was coming back, the goose was still there watching the sun set. :)
Anyway, I feel a little nauseous. I pigged out for dinner and now i'm regretting doing so, so I'm drinking carbonated mineral water hoping to calm my tummy. waaaaaaa.
