Thought some of you who are interested in homeschooling and unschooling might be interested in these two conferences coming in 2007: LIFE is Good NW Unschooling Conference (http://www.lifeisgoodconference.com); and 6th annual Live and Learn Unschooling Conference (http://www.liveandlearnconference.org/index.html).

Out of curiousity, how is an unschooling conference structured?

the websites have the basic set up. they're predominently set up like camps with workshops (which kids or parents can lead), special meets (for example, the 'secret society of unschooling dads' meeting--no moms or kids allowed), and speakers on various topics (unschoolers themselves in most cases). and there appears to be a lot of free time to explore the area, meet each other, play and talk, etc.
so, i would say it's a bit looser than a typical conference, but there are a lot of diverse opportunities.

zoebird thanks for the info. we are unschoolers here, but i have never attended any conference.
the one in north carolina in sept might be doable for me though.

cool, i'm glad that you might get some benefit. dh and i are interested in unschooling, but it's a bit early for a conference yet. :)
