Saharan food works well. Most people who eat it tend to feel quite warm.
Seriously, I think the best advice to to eat enough and to eat well. Your body is it's own best protector. Good hydration is important, too.

Eat more food, and wear more clothes! Also, get exercise. You will feel cold if you are too inactive, or if your metabolism is too slow, so eat!
Its getting cold out there, so double up on socks if you have to ;-)

spicy foods like Indian, Mexican, Thai. That is my suggestion. Hot teas are good for warming as well.

I've been cold my entire life. I do exercise 5-6 times a week but that doesn't help. I don't know what to suggest. :-/

To the OP:
Have you had your thyroid checked out by a doctor? If it turns out that you have an underfunctioning thyroid (like me), that could be why you're cold. Hypothyroidism messes with and slows down your metabolism and makes you sensitive to cold temperatures.

My mum has an underactive thyroid so possibly- I wonder if these things are hereditary? Hmm I never thought of that it might be worth getting it checked.

Ginger, Cayenne, any kind of spicier food. Chili...

I do believe it can be genetic. My grandmother had an underfunctioning thyroid as well. She actually had it removed. I just take a hormone supplement pill every morning.
