sad but true, who likes to hike in the cold and snow, not me. another season of fun in the sun is just about over for me. this year i did Mt. Washington for like the 15th time. i do it every year 'cause it a beautiful hike. i also walked some of the application trail, and a few other nice trails in the NH area. i think this weekend for my final climb i'm gonna do Mt Tom or Mt Addams, both are in western Ma, by north adams and williamstown.

anyone else get to do any hiking this summer?

Hiking, I love to go a hikin', day or night, spring or fall, rain or sun, I guess I should have been a mail delivery person. LOL. I love to hike anytime of the year, I hike just for the love of it. Try it in any season, it is good for the soul.

It's funny to read this because for me down here in Tucson, AZ, the hiking season is just beginning!

I'm lucky where I live. I live between two mountains with large hiking areas. These are great places to go during the summer. During the winter I go to the desert. Palm Springs is just a 20 min drive away with Yucca Valley, Joshua tree, etc not too much further. We go there during the winter. There are plenty of trails to choose from there. In fact, the desert hiking clubs season is from November all the way through May. The off season is the summer.
