Tammy Grimes for Animal Planet Hero of The Year

I'm sure you guys remember Tammy Grimes (http://www.dogsdeservebetter.com/doogie.html)
from Dogs Deserve Better, who was arrested for rescuing a chained & dying dog after several calls to the Pennsylvania Humane Society went unanswered. I remember there being a post here about her story.

Anyhow, I discovered today that she is nominated for the Animal Planet Hero of The Year award. If Tammy were to win, her organization would receive $10,000.

Frankly, I'm surprised the usual suspects of "owner's rights" groups haven't raised a stink about Ms. Grimes being nominated. Normally these groups throw a fit (and get what they want) if they think someone's telling them what to do with their "property."
