As I've posted in the September thread: I've decided to make the new thread not just for October, but also for November and December 2006. It makes more sense to me to create a new thread quarterly instead of every month, since each month can go by pretty quickly. Let me know how this works for you Hamsters. If it's agreeable to you all, we'll keep it this way next year. If not, we'll go back to individual months.
Have fun and get sweaty! :hamster:

I'm not sure what I do counts or not. I work out every day for about two weeks biking and then I have pain and bleeding attacks and am mostly in bed for about a week.

Hi Hamsters,
I'm tapering right now (purposely easing up on the running milage before a big race) and it's a time I usually enjoy but my first ever 50K is this Sunday and I'm really nervous about finishing. I have got to relax.
Go Hamsters!!

Walked 30 minutes yesterday.
Today, I am going to the gym. Elliptical trainer for 40 and racquetball for 45. This is my new workout plan: at least 40 minutes of cardio, 5 days a week. I will do this for 2-3 weeks to start. I hope I have time to fit it in every day! Wish me luck. :)

Hi Hamsters :)
Thanks Captain, My run went great! I finished under 7:30, which is about a 1/2 hour better that I hoped for. I feel pretty darn good too. It was a beautiful sunny fall day to boot. So beautiful!
Go Hamsters!!!!!

Today was yoga class day, but I was too involved in studies and had to pass. I'm on a time crunch.
Anyway, yesterday I did 40 minutes of aerobic and worked with weights. :)

I joined a new gym that just opened here in town and went to two classes so far. They were pretty good, but not as good as the other classes I used to take. I'm planning to workout at the gym 2 or 3 times a week and run 2 or 3 times as well. On the weekends I will be running my long runs. I don't have any marathons or trail runs till spring but I want to do another 50K trail in spring so I will need to maintain my long distance milage.
The gym I'm joining is going to have a hot yoga class. Has anyone done this?
Go Hamsters.

I've been doing a lot of lower body workouts with weights lately. :hamster:
Buuuuut. I need to start doing more cardio.. I'm so disappointed in myself.
I'm supposed to be doing at least 30 minutes (trying to do 40 or more) of cardio every day. It is not working. I just can't motivate myself to walk to the gym.
Gaaaahhhh. Someone motivate me to go, please. :p

11 mile run on Sunday.
5 mile run yesterday which included some speedwork - 5 x 400's. I was supposed to do 6-8 but my legs felt like jello after 5.
