When I asked my Media Studies teacher how graphic I could make my mock ad, he said "I dare you to shock me." Ladies and gentlemen, I want to deliver. I'm going to show a picture from the confines of the most evil place on Earth, with a logo from the Maple Leaf meat company. The caption reads, "Maple Leaf, innocent and wholesome the whole way through, because We Take Care (their motto)"

I'm hoping to open a few eyes in my Media Studies class, and I've been given full authorization to go over the top. Can anyone help me?

Can't you just go to, say, one of the PeTA websites and download one of their pictures? Or some other AR site?

What makes you think the people here on VB would have gorier pictures than PeTA has?

maybe this is a stupid question but why not ask for a picture of the maple leaf meat company's operation if you are going to claim that it is such?

I agree, if you want some gross pictures, go to PETA's website. Or maybe one of those autopsy websites.

If Maple Leaf is a real company, you should certainly use a factual picture from their operations.

If it's a fictional company you've created for this project, you should certainly check out PeTA. click around. you'll be pleasantly disgusted...

I might still have some pictures of chickens that are VERY difficult to look at.

I dunno if this is helpful: http://www.atourhands.com/food.html

It has a lot of pictures of the various animals used for food and them being killed but the pictures are pretty small in size.

Not a stupid question at all. Anyways, for what I want, any slaughterhouse will do. I'm not trying to make the point that Maple Leaf tortures their animals more than any other company, I'm trying to say that meat in general is barbaric. I picked Maple Leaf because in all their commercials they play themselves up to be the kids next door, apple pie baking on a windowsill in a neighborhood where the kids try to steal it, get caught, and learn a valuable lesson. Basically, they totally ignore the fact that there is, I don't know, gory vicious death involved.

 :lick: Yum, yum, don't that make ya hungry? In the words of Johnette Napolitano, "Thank you so much, you guys are great, thank's very, very much." I think I've met the challenge.

Thanks. He did ask me to do a tamer one too, so I'm doing a picture of a starving child, and the caption says, "Wal Mart Buy our stuff or he gets whipped."

I've seen worse than those, but it wasn't in a farm or slaughterhouse.
