I have added a monthly payment option for contributing members. The price is $2.50 per month and it is recurring.
Not sure if this is something people are interested in but thought I'd offer it.
More information on the contributing member program can be found here...

it's certainly better than the one-year option, but i guess quarterly payment would be even better. i am not sure but usually banks charge a flat fee for any international money transfers, so maybe it is quite expensive to pay the monthly VB fee plus the bank fee each month. thus i would prefer 3- and 6-month options over the monthly thingy.
at the moment, though, i am not yet pissed off enough by the ads to pay anything, nor am i using VB enough

I have added a quarterly option at $6. Good suggestion.
I haven't had a chance to test these out so if anyone happens to have any trouble just shoot me a pm.
Also, I had one inquiry about the price difference. Annually it comes out to the following:
Annual $18
Quarterly $24
Monthly $30
It's fairly common for sites (and businesses in general) to give "discounts" for longer terms.

I was wondering why the quarterly and montly options are labeled as "recurring", meaning automatically renewed, and the yearly option isn't?

Right. Simply because the annual option is so long, I'm not sure people would want it to be recurring.

Could you maybe also give an option where I can get the "Contributing Member" moniker under my name without contributing?
I like the pretty green letters.

I don't like the new "Contributing Member" moniker. I liked it better when your CM was heralded only by the color change and it was all mysterious. It was like being in a club with a secret handshake. :p

As long as I don't have to pay

There was some trouble with the monthly/quarterly options not working properly and minimal interest so I've had to do away with those options.
