Is it vegan? It has Vitamin E listed as an ingredient, and I can't find on the internet what the source is.

Be careful -- one of those smart balance omega spreads contains fish oil. I am not kidding. The tub says "omega-3 from the sea" or some such, and then when you look over the ingredients list, surprise surprise.

I knew some of the spreads, but not all, contained animal-derived ingredients. I need to know if the Vitamin E from the Smart Balance Omega "Natural Blend of Canola, Soy, and Olive Oils" comes from an animal source.

Their website also has a customer service link that shows a tel# and has an online form you can use to ask questions... hope that helps.

Their hours don't include weekends, so I can't call now (I tried and got a recording), and probably not tomorrow because it's a holiday. I'm very impatient and am frustrated that I can't find anywhere if the Smart Balance Omega oil blend of canola, soy, and olive oils is vegan. I just need to find the source of the Vitamin E in it, and if it's from plants, I should be fine.

"From the sea"? What a wierd way to put it. It does rhyme. Does it feel like slime?

I use Smart Balance light with flax oil. Can you find it anywhere close by?
