Chocolate Lover's Nirvana Cake
Category: Desserts - Cakes
Suitable for a: vegan diet
Ingredients:
------------------------------------------------------
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
7 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup vanilla soymilk
1 cup cold water
Instructions:
------------------------------------------------------
Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
Mix the dry ingredientstogether. Add the wet ingredients and stir really well. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cook in a 9" pan. If desired, while it is still (very) warm, drizzle homemade chocolate sauce over it. The sauce will seep into the top of the cake and around the sides and to the bottom, causing it to be sort of covered in a chocolate layer. If you like walnuts or pecans, or even coconut, feel free to add on top of the chocolate sauce!
Additional comments:
------------------------------------------------------
It should be a very moist, sweet cake. The vinegar is essential, don't try to take it out. Trust me, not even a hint of it is detected in the finished product. The only problem you might encounter is over-indulging in this sweet treat!
Edit: This is a slightly different version than the Absurdly Easy Chocolate Cake by Boutell.Com. But it is different!
