Sprouted Hummus
Category: Raw Foods

Suitable for a: vegan diet


Ingredients:

OK, here's the other recipe I own thats actually "raw". And this stuff is YUMMY!

3 cups sprouted chickpeas
1/2 cup tahini or raw peanutbutter (is tahini 'raw'? I had heard it was, but someone else said no...)
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 large cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 a small jalepeno
1 tsp. fresh chopped oregano leaves
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions:
------------------------------------------------------

Run ingredients trhu food processor to make a thick spread/paste consistancy.

Adding water (or olive oil if you use it) only if necessary to make a thick pate. Serve with fresh vegetable slices. .

JUST as good as hummus with canned garbanzos!!

could i use olive oil instead of the PB or Tahini, do you think?

Yeah, it just is less creamy and doesn't have as much of that traitional 'hummus' taste.

But yeah, that works, I've done that when I ran out of tahini.

thanks! maybe I could do half and half... I don't love tahini.
