Unless you are a registered dietician you are no longer allowed to discuss the benefits of a veg*n diet. And please refrain from helping people with eating disorders.

And unless you are a personal trainer do not help other's with their exercise habits.

And unless you are a therapist/counselor please do not give relationship advice.

And unless you are a chef do not discuss recipes or give cooking advice.

And unless you are a mechanic do not tell others how to change their oil.

The bad news is most of you will no longer be able to post. The good news is you can now believe everything you read on VB.

Thank you for your immediate cooperation.

Oops, I have a feeling there might be a new rule soon that you aren't allowed to post smilies unless you're a professional comedian. :sealed:

why do i bother.
from now on every person that asks for medical advice is getting one answer from me. you don't need a doctor just do it yourself.

i'll start a club. i'll call it the DIY pap test, eye exam, root canal and colonoscopy centre.

honestly when the owner of the board himself just makes fun of members that show concern for each others wellbeing, it really makes me wonder why i'm still here.

don't continue an offtopic discussion in a new thread cause it'll get closed. but feel free to announce to the world that you can test yourself for cervical cancer and ovarian cysts, no need for doctors. while you're at it go ahead and give advice on how to eat less than 800 calories a day but if you tell someone they're an idiot you'll get suspended or banned. and for the love of god don't discuss personal matters of the mods in their own threads!! go ahead and post quotes from other veg or a.r. forums and sites but you better not even hint at the existence of a certain site, you'll be strung up by your toes, cause we all know that place is evil incarnate.

also another new rule, if you defend yourself you not only get suspended you also lose your contributing member status but you don't get your money back.

I can't tell if you took this thread seriously somehow, or if you just wanted to rant somewhere and this seemed like a nice thread? :stinkeye: (ETA: I just now saw your other thread, so now this thread is making more sense to me.)

I would think you should be able to get your contributing member status reinstated after a temporary suspension if you just ask. I got mine back after I was suspended. But if not, you could just contest the charges with Paypal and get your money back that way.

[Other site] isn't evil incarnate, but the idea behind that site seems to be to offer a place to vent behind people's backs, so it would defeat the purpose if all that drama was brought over to this board because then it's no longer secret venting. /shrug

And yeah, I was banned for calling someone an idiot too, but they deserved it, so it was worth it. A 3 day break from VB is a fair trade sometimes.

kpickell i edited out the name of that site from my post at the request of it's owner, could i bother you to do so also? :)
for the record the site is not for the purpose of ranting about vb, it's a seperate community that happens to have a lot of vb members as members. vb discussions were creeping up so a seperate thread was made for it so other threads wouldn't go offtopic about it. that place has a bad rep but there are a lot of good people there and a lot of good discussions that have nothing to do with this site. sorry i brought it up, i saw it mentioned in another thread and it sort of got my back up about it

Yes, sure will. I didn't know Robert didn't want it mentioned either actually. And I know what you're saying about that site and it having many good purposes, it just happens that when people mention it over here they are only usually mentioning the threads that are used for venting about VB members.

I would like to add that it is not Teh Other Board's active members that come here and post about said board. It is people who go there and are too sensitive so they end up getting their feelings hurt. Some people don't fit in there so they make it their personal goal to mention said board every chance they get.

If people continue to talk about that board they're going to get suspended. I've already asked once for people to drop it.
