I've been thinking about taking up yoga for a while now but am a bit clueless as to which style would be best for me. I'm looking for something that will strengthen and tone but that will also serve as a relaxing, centering exercise. I have an irritable bowel disease which I need to take into account as well.
Any help is much appreciated! I'm in NW Ohio is anyone knows of a really great class or instructor.

look for a RYT. that means the instructor is registered with the Yoga Alliance and has a minimum of 200 hours of training.
barring that, ask where the teacher was trained, and how long they themselves have practiced. some of the best teachers have been practicing for 25 years and just took a weekend quickie certification to teach. some good schools/master trainers are:
Iyengar
Dharma Mittra
Integral Yoga
IAYT
Yoga Works(chuck and maty)
White Lotus
If you find one and have questions you can PM me and I can check out their schooling for you.

yes, and you might like certain styles like sivananda and anusara over astanga and iyengar.
