Hi,
I walk about 4 to 5 days a week (in pain). I am not just starting. I started walking about 1 and a half to 2 months ago i'm thinking. My legs (calves) hurt soooooo bad that I can hardly get finish with my walk, and my back just started to hurt a week or so ago. Why is this happening? My Endocrine doctor told me to not gain anymore weight because my metabolism is really low from my hypothyroidism. So I must workout. I don't know what to do. Why do they hurt like this? It feels like they are so tight and it's painful. Please help me. I don't know what to do.
I don't want to gain anymore weighttttttttt. :(

Maybe try another exercise? If you going on a slow, but lenghty bike ride, that is good exercise withh virtually no impact :)

Ummm, I don't swim. I'm afraid to get in deep water. :)
Although, I like the bike idea. I'm gonna try to get a bike. I think that would be fun. I have actually wanted a bike for a long time.
I think I should get a membership at a gym too. Fun stuff ok. I thank you guys so much for your input. Take care. :)

Im a nurse and have seen this before.... Have you had your potassium levels checked recently? Try eating a banana a couple of hours before your walk and drink Gatorade while you walk.... I know this sounds gross but drinking pickle juice may help also... Pro football players and Nascar drivers do it for cramping due to low potassium levels and a quick fix... If this works I would have my Potassium levels checked... good idea no matter what especially if you are on meds, they can screw with so many systems and deplete our bodies of needed substances such as potassium... Good luck and God speed:angel:

Hey thanks Sugar Snap Pea, cool ID by the way. Hehe. Umm, I have high blood pressure, so I don't know if I can drink pickel juice haha. I'm gonna have to skip that one. But I do love bananas. I'll eat them everyday. Hahaha. So good. yummmm. I do take meds that deplete the body of potassium. I'll try the Gatorade also. I love it also. :)
So thanks. This has helped a lot. Good info from you guys! I'm gonna try your suggestion out to see what works for me. Take care everyone. :)
