Hey all!
Here's the deal, I'm 19, female and I need some tummy exercises!
I'm skinny all over my body and always have been, thing is I have a bit of a flabby belly. It's not huge or sticking out of my clothes or anything but just a bit odd that the rest of me is skinny! Anyone else like this??
I dunno if it's just bloating cos of my vegetable diet or what but anyway can anyone reccomend any exercises for toning the tummy/belly?
Cheers!

I've never tried it, but I've heard "Core" is amazing for your mid-section ... I'm not sure what it is (an excercise program I guess, so you could probably join a class for it or find it on dvd). My boyfriend's mom has been using it for only a few months, but I noticed last time I saw her how much thinner she looked already.

Yea, I am pretty much like that, too. My limbs and stuff are all thin, but I've got some ugly belly fat o___O

I've never heard of someone bloating from a vegetable diet.
Have you lost weight from your diet without exercize? You probably just need to do some sit ups. Something that tones your body.

Training the Core along with cardio training is a great way to lose the belly!
In fact I have a VERY CLOSE friend that has a great circuit training DVD that will make you sweat and it also has a 20 minute core/ab workout that you can do after the circuit or just do alone.
Good Luck!

I should warn you though, you can't spot reduce fat. Only liposuction can do that. However, exercising your core muscles will help you improve your posture, and tighter abs will help to hold in your organs (part of improved posture). If you don't lose fat, you will have rock hard abs under the same fat you started with.
Also keep in mind that everyone, women especially, do have a little extra fat on their stomachs. But even more fat can accumulate there due to stress hormones or genetics. So reducing stress may help. But once you do that, all one can do is reduce their body fat in proportion to their muscle and if that's not enough, you just have to live with it (or get liposuction).
The super washboard abs you see in magazines and on bill boards are those of people whose entire job is to stay super fit so they can earn money from their bodies. They do not simply adhere to diet and exercise routines of the average healthy person. Many may have had surgery. There are few people with those kinds of abs in real life.
Nevertheless, I want super flat abs, too, and will continue to try. :)
