I went to yoga classes about 4 years ago and have just got back into it again. It is so peaceful and blissful. I love it!!

Yep, I think there are lots of people here who take yoga, and some yoga instructors. I do beginner level hatha yoga once a week. Also beginner pilates once a week, which uses a lot of positions from yoga.

I go to a hot yoga class every Tuesday and every other Sunday and I love it. I love to sweat. I think it compliments my other workouts nicely.

I do Pilates twice a week, and I usually feel strong and balanced afterward like when I used to do yoga. I'd love to pick yoga back up during the year, but I'm not sure I'll be able to afford it. :(

I can't sleep well without doing yoga first. People think I'm crazy because I bring my yoga mat to visit relatives' houses. Walk into my room between 9-12 at night and you might see me prepping for bed with some Ravi Shankar music blaring.

love it! :hamster:

Yup, I love yoga too. I'm really bad at it, but I still think it's great. It's a great way to balance out all the swimming, biking and running I do.

I take Yoga, and Yoga-Pilates and I love it--it keeps me grounded and calm. I wish I could take advanced yoga, but right now it's taught during the day, when I have to work.

I practice Bikram yoga. When life is calm, I go five times a week. Life has not been calm, so I have been going three times a week.

I find that it is challenging in the right ways. I find that the practice is always honest, and will always give me a real indicator of how I am doing physically and mentally without allowing my ego to gloss over those things in its own self-interest. I find that the community that is created when one sweats, doing the same exact movement, with a room of relative strangers, is one in which I innately feel at home. Most of all, I find that Bikram yoga only requires that I put forth what I can, and that I leave everything that I need to leave on my mat in a pool of sweat.

I have been looking for this type of release for much of my life. I smoked for 15 years and quit last November. I have been practicing Bikram for three months now. I expect to practice Bikram for as long as I have a restless mind and a needy body.

My yoga class was cancelled today when the instructor no-showed. She was a substitute and apparently there was a scheduling mixup with the front office. :(

I love yoga and meditation :). I've never had a teacher, but I would like to go to a class one day. I do it every morning in my room.
