All hand-made cosmetics store. I am sure some of you have heard of it. So far I have only purchased one thing from there. Deoderant. I couldn't find animal-tested free deoderant anywhere else. It looks like a bar of soap, but it's actually working somewhat. I still sweat, but I don't stink. It works a lot better than the more popular brand I use to buy, Speedstick.
Has anyone else purchased anything from this store chain? If so, what did you buy and how did it work?

Lush devotee here :D
I actually didn't find their deodorant effective, and had to skip to conventional ones: I sweat way too much!
I do like their skin care range: I use ultrabland and almond kisses for my very dry skin. Their shampoo bars are also great for travelling, because they double as soap as well and take up v. little space. I also like that everything they sell is vegetarian and lots of the stuff is vegan as well.

I've got LUSH henna on my hair right now (and man is it hot uner all this hot henna and plastic wrap)
And I've made a sort of copycat version of Angels on Bare Skin that I plan to try tonight.
I like LUSH but wish they didn't use parabens as their preservatives otherwise I would buy more stuff.

I like some lush stuff, but my absolute favorite buy was scented sparkles for hair last christmas. I wear them when I just want to smell like that.

I tried the copy cat Angels on Bare Skin and it is FABULOUS. Very close to the LUSH one and my skin looks great today. Oh and my hair is a perfect shade of red (I used 1 square each maroon and red) to achieve a reddish brown. Wow!

Rock Star Soap
Big Shampoo
Hard Water Shampoo
Sonic Monkey Shower Gel
Jungle Solid Conditioner
Stuff I've purchased that I like but haven't repurchased because I haven't run out of it yet:
Karma Perfume
Ginger Dusting Powder
Karma Dusting Powder
Stuff I've purchased and liked but not repurchased for whatever reason:
Randy's Buttercream (seasonal around Christmas) lovely stuff

I've bought Fresh Pharmacy for my step daughter..she's getting teen skin trouble. Cleared it right up.
The only thing I didn't like was the deoderant sample I received..it was aroma something or other. Hated it. I like my deoderant stone.

i love Lush!!! especially the chocolate orange lip balm, yum!!!! and the lemon soap, the chocolate mint bathbomb, etc...:)
i'm allergic to their deodorants, though, i don't know why! :( i actually told them that and they sent me a 20 GBP voucher, which was rather nice, i have to say. They thought it was the sandalwood oil in the particular one i tried, but i tried a couple of the other deodorant bars and i was allergic to those too. :( it's really odd cos i'm not allergic to most things! i don't know what it is.

I'm glad to read all of these reviews, because I'm thinking of buying more of my beauty products from there. I use shampoo from Aveda right now, but I'm almsot out and this stuff is expensive. Has anyone ever tried a shampoo from Lush for dry/damaged or color treated hair? If so, how did it work for you?

Two words...... Bath Bombs. Simply divine! I lived in England for 4 years and became a huge fan. Since I've been back in the states I kind of forgot. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Love Lush. Products I like are:
Ultrabland Cleanser (not vegan - the Babyface one is and is pretty good too).
Angels on Bare Skin
Sympathy for the Skin body lotion - seriously it's like custard.
Tramp and Olive Branch shower gels, which smel...well...lush!
Their shampoos - have got on well with Cynthia Sylvia Stout, Trichomania and I Love Juicy.
Sadly their conditioners don't seem to suit too well. The Veganese one isn't bad and I do sometimes use it but it's not perfect. They used to sell one called Okra which smelled to me like hot cross buns - and it was perfect for my hair. Sadly they discontinued it a couple of years back.

I had a total Lush orgy yesterday and by the time I got out of there my credit card was smoking. I went in for Sexy Underwear dusting powder and came out with:
Sexy Underwear
Big shampoo
Veganese conditioner
Mask of Magnaminty
Ocean Salt
Honey I Washed the Kids soap
Pied de Pepper foot lotion
Helping Hands hand cream
Soft Coeur massage bar (Smells so good I want to eat it. Quick, someone lick me!)
I also got a full sized bar of Cereology soap as a bonus for buying the conditioner.

I've only been in Lush once at the Milwaukee airport on a long layover. It's very fragrance-y. It gave me a headache the second I walked in. I looked at some of their stuff but didn't buy anything. Maybe I should've!

I love Lush!! I am a proud Lushie!! I have many favorites..but if I had to pick my two most favorite things I would have to say Ocean Salt and Buffy body butter. I am going to Chicago next week and Lush on Armitage is my first stop. If you are looking for a great shampoo..try Rehab. It does wonders for damaged hair. Another great product for dry, damaged hair is HSuan Wen Hua hair treatment. I really do think that Lush is becoming an addiction for me.

I adore Lush, I used to work there so have tried every product! The only probs I have is that I wish all the products were vegan instead of 75%, and that the prices were a little lower.

I just bought a shampoo and conditioner from Lush over the weekend. I haven't tried it yet, though. It's Rehab shampoo and Retread conditioner. I know it was expensive. But what else am I gonna do? I'd rather spend the money than keep buying the more widely known over the counter stuff. I plan on going to Lush a lot more now. I have a discount card for "The Body Shop," but I just love how Lush has that sort of indie feel to it.

I've looked at some of the ingredients for the shampoos - and it seems quite a few have kiwi in them - which i'm deathly allergic to. Has anyone had any good experiences with the ones sans kiwi? And any thoughts on the conditioners? I have curly, often dry hair, which is coloured - and I'm looking for something a little cheaper than Aveda - as I've been finding that my old fav Giovanni isn't quite cutting it anymore :( Any recommendations for shampoos, conditioners, and other products there would be greatly appreciated. I've usually just stuck to getting bath bombs there. But I've hit a stressful period in my life, and I'm feeling the need to pamper myself - so bring on the recommendations :) Thanks! :)

i like their shampoo bars - the ones i've tried are stronger than liquid shampoos, but the jungle conditioner makes it all good :) the karma komba shampoo bar and jungle are both kiwi free.
i love their lip-lime lip balm too

I just got my Gentle Lentil shampoo and it's wonderful. You can't order it anymore. It was one of the ones that they bought back as a one time only deal.
And about the price....all of the ingredients they use are top of the line and expensive by themselves. Add to that the fact that they are hand made to order..not mass produced/manufactured and that explains it. I'll gladly pay for as close to natural as I can get. We need to get away from all the fake chemicals and bull that are in personal care products. It can't be good for a person or the environment really. Plus, Lush stuff lasts longer than the drugstore stuff in my opinion. It does for me anyhow.
I need to get some more Jungle conditioner and I Should CoCo soap. Mmmmm.
