Hey Everyone,

Based on all the great feedback I've gotten about Body for Life I have decided to start following it. It's only been one week, but I feel great! I really love the weight lifting routine and the way all the exercises are divided up. It feels so good to get moving 6 times a week.

A question, though....I am surprised that B4L only has you do abs once a week (and only one set).

#1) Am I misunderstanding this? Are there supposed to be more abs?
#2) If not, is this enough to get my core into shape? Of late, my core has been a a serious trouble spot, so I know I need to work on it big time.

Any advice?

BFL, Abs are once per week. When I was doing BFL I bumped my abs to 3X's per week.

My son-in-law lost a significant amount of weight on BFL.

your abs do get a workout when you do other areas of the body as well, just not as concentrated. i'd stick to the program a little longer and if you feel you have the energy to add some extra ab time in go for it but don't overdo it.

i know someone who lost 40lbs on the program and has stuck to her ideal weight ever since.

wow! That is amazingly inspiring. My fitness level is definetely improving already. I can tell that this is an amazing plan. My strength, stamina and overall fitness is going through the roof--anf I feel so much better every day. I haven't lost weight, though, as I have been less than successful with the diet portion. :notvegan:

Gonna try harder on the eating front, though, to see if I can make some positive changes.

with the BFL eating guidelines you should theoretically achieve your "healthy weight" for your build, age, fitness lvl etc. might take a bit for your body to figure out what it should be doing with all the changes but from what i've heard once it gets going the results are usually really amazing if you can stick with the program
