I'm looking for a really good yoga dvd that is sutiable for beginners. I'd like to be able to take classes, but I don't really have the income for that.

It really depends on what you're looking for, but I've enjoyed many of Rodney Yee's videos. He has a few that are aimed specifically at beginners, and they're available at gaiam.com. When I first started doing yoga, I couldn't afford classes, either, and I was able to get DVDs from our public library to try out before I bought them. That might be an option for you, too.
Good luck!

What style of goga do you like? hatha, power, kundalini? I practice hatha/power and kundalini. These are my favorites DVD's:
Hatha : Eric Shiffman and Ali McGraw - Yoga Mind & Body - awesome

Power - I like Bryan Kest series but this is not for beginners. I belive he has a beginners tape, but I haven't tried it yet.

I second the vote for Rodney Yee videos. He has some great stuff-- anything from 20 mins to two hours. I love the Power Yoga one, but you may like the Beginner's or maybe Abs Yoga for Beginners. If you ever feel the desire to extend to Pilates, I recommend Anna Caban, who also teaches under the Gaiam lable. Check out http://www.gaiam.com for some great stuff. Thy have had their VHS on sale lately, so you can get complete tapes for about 2 or 3 bucks! Also check Amazon ^_^
