I don't have any bumps, rashes, or anything. But I keep feeling itchy in random places. It kept me up last night. I use the same soaps, detergents, I have a humidifier and I always wash my bedsheets. My skin isn't dry. My diet hasn't changed. Anyone ever experienced itching of this sort?

you could try skin brushing and see if that helps.

Take a sudafed and see if that helps. Usually antihystamins work.

Is there a holistic equivalent to Sudafed?

I'm reading some sites that say Vitamin C can have the same effects as an antihistamine (I still don't know how to spell it even though I just looked at it a dozen times). Maybe eat some oranges?

yeah...i itch all the time. with me its an overactive histamine response. my body eroniously thinks that the world in general is some weird foreign invader that i need to scratch to remove, it seems. *sigh* and it makes my nose run and itch, and eyes burn ... but i digress.

it could be an allergy of some kind, to food, or something environmental, etc, or even stress- are you stressed? i mean.. if you weren't itchy, would you STILL be stressed, lol?

i take an antihistamine which helps a little, but they don't all work for everyone (only zyrtec works for me) they come with side effects, like drowsiness, and can cause an allergic itch of their own if you're sensitive to them.

you could try adding a cup full of ground up (use a blender to make a fine powder) oatmeal to your bathwater- thats very soothing, or get some of that pink liquid stuff to rub all over yourself that they give you when you have chickenpox- ohhh, whats it called.... calamine lotion... thats worth a try.

god luck with it, i know it can drive you nuts, i've often ended up in tears from itching, lol.

Also, you might think about if you're getting enough vitamin B12. I've never experienced it, but the texts claim itching occurs when B12 is low.

Worse case scenario, you've made sure you're getting enough B12. O darn.

Allergy can make you itchy. It's that season.

I have itchy skin. My naturopath told me to make sure I'm getting my Omega-3's to reduce inflammation.
