everyone post your playlists that you listen to when you work out.

I can't post a playlist because I just listen to my MP3 player over & over, and there are like 75893758349 songs on it.

But, I mostly listen to The Blood Brothers, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Faint, Blood For Blood, etc. when I'm working out. Anything that's angry or has a fast beat works well too. Music fuels my workouts :)

Good idea for a thread. Here goes a bump!

I don't really have a playlist, but I love working out to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Outkast, and No Doubt. Anything that has a fast, addictive beat.

Although, nothing beats "Carmina Burana" by Orff when I'm running on the treadmill.

I do very little of my exercise in an environment where music is a good idea, but when I used to work out at the gym, I listened to a lot of really upbeat, fun 80s cheese.

Edit: Actually one of my favorite bands for exercising is Smash Mouth.

Now that would be the bomb. I just watch the food network as I run on the treadmill. They do have music though. :p

Music is essential for me to exercise, something to keep my mind off of what I am doing (treadmill, or Tae Bo.) Watching T.V. does not do it for me, must have music, anything that is heavy...Metallica, Rob Zombie.

I don't have all the details, but my mp3 player *also* has Godsmack, Metallica, Aerosmith, Rob Zombie, Fear Factory, NIN, Tool, the Underworld: Evolution Soundtrack, AFI, Alice in Chains, the Mars Volta, Incubus (quite necessary for a good run), Deftones, Evanesence, Gravity Kills, H.I.M., Korn, Nirvana, Stabbing Westward, Allman Brothers, and some random techno my fiance' collected over the years. Good stuff.

When I run (which I really need to start doing more) I listen to
We Are Scientists
Ima Robot
Hot Hot Heat
Hellogoodbye
M.I.A.
The Rocket Summer
The Strokes

And a lot of times I'll listen to whoever I have tickets to go see, and use them as motivation haha. Mostly fun, energetic, dancy music though.

I tend to listen to loads of 80's/90's crap. Lots of Cydni Lauper, Madonna, etc. And then some bands like Head Automatica, Queen...actually, there's no rhyme or reason to what I listen to, just something really upbeat. I cycled for two hours the other day to "A Little Respect" by Erasure and "Build Me Up Buttercup" by The Temptations

I am the odd one out. When I am on the treadmill I listen to Josh Groban, Barbara Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Botti, Patsy Cline. I prefer a more classic approach to music, but my kids and husband keep me up on the latest bands and their songs.

There is this group Gym Class Heroes. Check out a song called The Queen and I. Hands down the best song to rev you up while you're doing a sprint or something. I can't even listen to it while I'm surfing online because I feel like I have to get up and dance or do jumping jacks.

Other than than, lots of the music I listen to in the car. Alk trio, Rise Against's fast songs, Lucky Boys Confusion has some really great fast paced songs (check out Hey Driver), and then some pop songs, hip-hop, and of course jock jams dispersed throughout.

Old school Michael Jackson, like Jackson 5 old...or Thriller. 80's Madonna. Panic! At The Disco. White Stripes. Any rap with a really repetitive hook like Ludacris.
