2 things:
1. I am going today to pick up my mum from Heathrow in a few hours. Yea, she's going to spend 2 weeks with us. She's coming this time of year because of this http://www.rotw.org.uk/performers/index.htm

2. You should all come to Rhythms of the World (see link above) Our town hosts the largest free world music festival in the UK. This year it is on the 14th and 15th of July. They'll have lots of live music, amazing handmade clothes/crafts and food. I still dream of that roasted corn on the cob I got last year.
Come to Hitchin and meet me and Spiderman (and my mum since she's here)

Hi guys. Anyone know if any of our supermarkets sell vegan ice cream?! I've been looking but can't find any :-( Cheers! x

Have a look for Swedish Glace in Tesco/Asda

I'm pretty sure it's vegan :)

EDIT: Yep, it is.

Swedish Glace is made from a blend of soya and non-hydrogenated vegetable oils. Because it does not contain animal products it is suitable for vegetarians and vegans alike. The new Soft Caramel variety only has 5% vegetable fat meaning you can indulge yourself without feeling too guilty!

Tastes great too. :D

The caramel one is delicious. They used to have swedish glace 'magnum' type things in the tesco near us but they got discontinued. I want the tofutti cookies and cream, it was so nice they used to stock it in the hfs in town but they got rid of the freezer.
I think most supermarkets have the vanilla swedish glace, larger co-ops as well.

Ooh thanks, i'll have a look for it... i had a quick look in tesco today and couldn't see much... but our local tesco is a bit rubbish. I'll have a look in the local somerfields tomorrow... There's an asda not far from me, but it might melt by the time i get it back (i'd have to take a train! Lol)

I lovelovelove swedish glace.
Yeah, vanilla is available in most supermarkets ... Tesco, Morrisons, and Asda at least. Some of the flavours are in H&B but vanilla is my favourite. :smitten:

cool, did you have to get the train for the ice cream though? it's worth it I guess.

wow, just found out I can get a megabus from newcastle to leeds for £1! less than a metro ticket from my house to town! gonna have to do that sometime soo, there's some great places in leeds so I hear like the common place.

I second the raspberry, that stuff is sooooo good. Though vanillia with chocolate sauce is amazing, oh and vanilla with foxes glacier mints and soy milk in the magimix omg the best milkshake ever!
