Hee hee hee xD
Surprisingly enough, not quite!!
I will explain (aahaha, but I'm sorry if this explanation is wordy and/or nonsensical..!) :) Poetic terrorism, sometimes referred to as "glamour bombing" or "senseless acts of beauty" is an anonymous activity that I occasionally like to immerse myself in (when I have the time!!) with the aim of making random people smile and feel fuzzy inside (and question the "mundanity" of their existence ;)) Usually involving public bubble-blowing, making pretty little things and decorating my town with them, sometimes little stand-alone poetic arty things and sometimes things like treasure hunts, riddles etc...
It's pretty bizarre, I guess. :)
But then, I am a bizarre little creature and I like bizarre things. *beams*
It's very time-consuming though, especially as I have no partner in crime at this point in time. Alas and great woe.

Bit of a stab in the dark!
But I know a lot of people seem to live round the London way.
Anyone have any experience with a good vegan resteraunt in Kingston Upon Thames or near that area?
My twin sister (pescetarian) wants us to have a meal for our 21st birthday in April - and wants to go to either Blue Hawaii (overpriced!) or this mexican place down near the station. I know Blue Hawaii would be vegan friendly (i think? last ate there 3 years ago as a veggie)- but as for the mexican i have NO idea its fairly new. and being at uni I cant really go check it out.
All our friends are omnis and some are very fussy so it needs to do "normal" food not just veggie
aagh
o, and preferably somewhere that does lots of good booze =D
Personally, I vote for the Mexican place, so you can tell us how it was. The rarity of Mexican food here has been hard to get used too.
I've not been the this place: http://www.rsveg.plus.com/menubase.htm, but it's right in Kingston. Looks a bit pricy as well, though. There's also a restaurant in Croydon called Veggie One that is veg. Chinese.
All in all, I'd say go into the city and eat someplace delish.

You got there before me! I've been there several times and it's great. Vegan cake and everything, with a huge menu. It may be quite expensive, but the portions are big.
Oh, it also has yummy cider.

Also in Kingston there is Shakeaway (http://www.shakeaway.com/) - do you know it? It's a milkshake bar but they do loads of vegan ones too, with soya milk and soya ice cream.

Oh god shakeaway.
I once had a job interview in there.
Showed up still drunk from the night out before. Suprisingly didnt get the job!
been too mortified to go in there since!! that was like, 2 years ago? Just after it openend and i still feel sick every time i walk past it
It was nice to come to bristol, theres a shakeaway AND a shakeking so i can get shakes again without being scared someones pointing and laughing haha.
Shakeaway = mucho yumminess indeed (there's one in Oxford). They are wicked expensive though, imo. £4.50 for a milkshake..whoa. :)

VA~goth~UK Re: your post (which I will not quote cos it was long!)
... I am very sorry, I have tried to read it very slowly over and over but in all honesty I did not understand a word of that. :)
(Perhaps... little words? xD xD xD Now, I'm not stupid by any means but I could not decipher that post at all..!! No offence meant! Just a very very confused Nevelinde here!)

Nevelinde, its alright, it was a bit chancey me writing that thinking you might relate to some of it (much less all of it but maybe some I thought). Gone is my post now, but it was a challenge which was the whole point, finding out whether any of my thought would be understood or not, and it was not, and that was the gamble, its fine though..... hehe, have a nice day! Thanks for bothering to read, (over + over no less :D) its cool that you tried :)
Hey UK folks. I just wanted to post this in case some of y'all hadn't heard about the salmonella/hummus story. (blech)

sorry to change the subject, I just wanted to show people this :
http://www.speakpolitical.org/ I'm def voting for them in the next general election.
I've been getting their email updates for awhile, and we've attended one of the demonstrations they organized, but I'm not sure yet. They seem like a bit of a one-issue organization.
Ah so thats why sainsbury's haven't had hummus for the last few days! I thought i was going mad. I went on friday and they had loads, then on saturday it had just disapeared. Good to know i'm not losing my mind.

I really doubt they stand a chance. I've already picked who I'm voting for (http://www.conservatives.com). Their leader isn't called Tony blair, and that's good enough for me.

The link on houmous doesn't work now. Can anyone briefly tell me what it said?? Thank you!!
theatregirl...They found some salmonella in a couple of the varieties of hummus at Marks & Spencer. Since the same manufacturer supplies Waitrose, Sainsbury's (and somewhere else too, I think), they were withdrawing all of their hummus. It was only certain ones that were bad..anything marked up to the 28th and that was a store brand (not a name brand). I'm sure if you go to Google News and search for something like "Marks and Spencer Hummus", you'll get some better details.
