Welcome to the UK. Most pubs these days offer a veggie choice and some will even give you a vegan dish if you phone before hand.
I was in a Scream pub (yknow the studenty ones with the yellowcard) yesterday and boredly reading the menu and they did looads of veggie stuff. shame it was beyond serving time and i already had a subway in my bag!

I had a Lush house party last night. Its a new idea, two girls from the local shop came loaded and displayed it and I had 14 folks here to see and buy. We drank wine, ate vegan nosh and all the goods they brought was vegan.
I had a free goody bag and because they had £400 orders I had 50% off mine.
This morning my house smells slightly lush..
Hm. I didn't know Lush did that..pretty cool. Did you arrange this through a store?

Documentary
Monkeys, Rats and Me: Animal Testing
9:00pm - 10:20pm
BBC2
VIDEO Plus+: 1847640
Subtitles, widescreen
Is it right to experiment on animals if you believe it will benefit a patient in the future? Does the harm done to animals in the name of research justify the tactics of the animal rights campaigners? This riveting documentary, in an attempt to be even-handed, talks to both sides of this controversial subject: Mel Broughton, a committed activist who's trying to stop Oxford University from building a new animal research laboratory, and Professor Tipu Aziz, one of the few scientists who's prepared to speak out in favour of such research. And we're introduced to Sean, a youngster whose condition could be helped as the result of animal research. But it's not all talking heads. There are scenes that will distress, no matter which side of the fence you sit, and a considerable amount of strong language.

I doubt if I will watch it as the BBC is so right wing and biased. Based on the last program about vivisection it was blatently biased and unbalanced so this will be the same.

It will be totally biased and in favour of vivisection , after all its the British Biased Corperation who are broadcasting it. As the above description of teh programme shows.
It wont tell you any of the following facts about vivisection :
http://www.iaapea.com/pdf/101.pdf
http://www.vivisection.info/ssat/biotech.html
http://www.bava.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/index.html
http://www.prijatelji-zivotinja.hr/indexen.php?u=htmlen/vcritic.html - warning this website has disturbing pictures.
Nor will it tell you about the 250'000 people in England alone that are hospitalised annually due to Adverse Drug Reactions ,most of which die. Coming to an average cost to the NHS of £500million on average. Many more peoples ADR symptoms go unrecorded.
It becomes scary when you look into just how misleading and wrong animal testing/vivisection is. The pharm. industry and governments are corrupt and are killing people all the time in the name of vivisection .

Thats why I won't watch it, I get so angry and frustrated as If I complain to the BBC they won't even acknowledge it!. If it was Channel 4 it may be better portrayed.

What worries me is the fact that most ignorant folks who will watch it will believe everything the BBC says.
