Hello all. Just discovered this thread. Found it interesting. I live in Bristol now. But I'll be going over to Colorado, Denver to be precise, in a coupla months time. I'm going there to meet my online 'significant other'. So, it could well end up as a permanent move. I've been sent lot's of photo's of the mountain scenery there. Can't wait to see it first hand. We're planning a trip to the Grand Canyon too. That's somewhere I've always wanted to visit. Can't wait to get over there. :)
Good for you Omega! I bet you will have a wonderful time. You will have to keep us updated on here! I am jealous you are going over there!! But in a nice way of course. Good luck!
i live right on the south coast, in Hampshire.
a true southerner Loki 'cept i say scone so it doesnt rhyme with stone ;)
Thanks for the best wishes Tofu. Very nice of you. I'll hopefully be heading off over there around the end of July. :)
heyloe all..!
i do not live in the UK but travel there quite often.. and i was wondering.. i've done lots of research for good veg restaurants (i'm a vegan) in london (and i've been to a very few), but there seem to be soo many i don't know where to go..! does anyone have any recommendations for a few places they really enjoy? is there such thing as a vegan afternoon tea?
i'm also going to be in the warwick/stratford-upon-avon area, too..
i'm so excited to be going there again..! i really enjoy it..
thanks..!

Spooky, jacfong - yes, I go there most days (sometimes twice a day!) because I work nearby. I probably see you all the time! I'll be smiling at everyone now, just in case they're you...

ariadne: oh i go there a lot cos i live close by. i worked at the food to go counter part time for a short while last year. i'll also be smiling loads now at everyone!!! haha....! ooooh if u want to meet up and say hi, just PM me!
Hello. A while back some people helped me find vegetarian restaurants in London for when my sister and I go in August (thank you), but now I've got another (possibly harder) question for you, if you don't mind. :)
Do any of you know any good dance studios in or about London? (Or Edinburgh, since we'll be there, too). We're hoping to take some master classes while we're there (tap, ballet, lyrical jazz... anything, really). Two weeks without dancing just isn't going to happen, and it's either find some classes or really annoy the folks at the hostels we stay at. :D
Thanks!

Hi jacfong - it would be great to meet you! I'm going away on holiday next week, and this week will be manic at work, so my visits to PO will be fleeting, as I run in to grab a sandwich! But when I get back, maybe we can arrange something.
oi oi! max power and vegibean, i'm from essex too. Chompsford, the Capital of Essex!
We seem to have a large proportion of veg*ns in our county, with barely anywhere to go out toe eat. Anyone got the resources to start a restaurant? - i have a few quid...
I'm a Bristolian, currently relocated to Munich so if I can be any help with either places.....

But I'm looking forward to all your rain, although I will have a hard time adjusting to the F and C temp thing. It'll be weird to say it's 11 degrees (which as I understand is nice weather there). 11 degrees here is cold as heck. Brrrrrr.... Hehe
11C is not nice weather. You really have to wait for around 20 C to consider it nice. But then you'll have the humidity to cope with, (if I'm right) much higher than Chicago, more like NYC. As an indication;

BTW, don't suppose anyone in London is looking for people to go to gigs with etc from September onwards?

Brighton is hot for vegans.
I buy my shoes from shoeshops, mucho cheapo. They certainly aren't leather, I couldn't speak for the glue.
Got 2 pairs of lovely vegan hiking boots from a vegan shoeshop in Axminster.
Hey, that's good to hear, I'm a vegetarian (soon to be vegan). What is the web address for London Vegans? sound like a good site! I'm living in Chigwell, Essex, so a train journey to London is easy!

Not sure what to think about it, i got a leaflet about it with the last Vegan Society magazine and thought it sounded interesting Never heard of that festival, sounds cool, do you know more details? What bands will be there etc.
