Someone had a £cakes for a pound - All profits go to animal sanctuary" stall in manchester, and that was damn good!

Damn, i wish i was going to be there, but unfortunately, I've got family sh*t to trudge through. But if there's another vegan festival in the NW, then I'd be going.

hometown vegan festival verdict!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it gives me the greatest of plasure to announce that liverpool,uk s first vegan festival was an exqiusite experiance from start to finish.i spent no less than 10 hours the day before :chef: baking :chef: some culinary delights but this felt more like a privilege than hard work!day one consisted of lots and lots and lots of vegan/animal rights stalls selling everything from home made cakes to soft toys with a vegan message(i invested in a few stocking fillers whilst there :santa: )from the moment you walked in through the door you felt as though you had landed on planet vegan!there were a great many people there including a couple of canine ones, and a memorable time was had by all,and to top it all there were some very talented musicians to serenade us!the second day was held in the evening and included a buffet(with cauldron sized pots full of curry, dhall, chilli and soup)a showing of 3 extremely powerful animal rights movies and music from a dj and some live bands.one of my friends was one of the main organisers and she produced all of this festival magic out of nowhere in just 2 short months,im so proud of her.so...now i feel exhausted but happy, happy, happy!!!with vegan love from vegan heart.xxx.

Got to stock up on some vegan chocs! Hope Troody Skrumptious is there with her famous truffles but I also need the charity box selections. It's always great to pass them round at xmas and show everyone the the vegan life is not a life deprived of naughty pleasures!

And I want to look at the shoes and boots from veganstore - I hate buying shoes mail order, much happier if i can try them on!

I have a warped sense of humour, hence the age in my profile... yes, I'm 50. If I say that often enough maybe it won't be so painful :( That's why I have a fossil for my avatar.

kat

I like your fossil. I've always thought it was pretty. "spud" makes me think of potatoes, not sure if thats a northern thing? And 50 is a great age, you should be proud,
