me too. Depending on funds. :-)
Now, if they'll have those gelatin-free wine gums, there, I might consider going down to london with a few squid!!!
The machester meetup was great! The only thing that could have made it better was if i had a larger stomach, that could accomodate more falafels.

Vegan food tasting is something I'm up to. Especially if they have falafel.
finally had the falafel and hummus flatbread from starbucks. I know your a fan loki, whats do other people think?
bit of a rip off for what you get i thought but the acctual falafels were tasty and i guess thats whats important!
hope everyones shiny and happy and having fun in the sun
lots of love x
Well, £2.95 isn't cheap, but it's an alright thing. I just don't like the tomatoes in it. It does taste good. It's a shame they don't have a starbucks in blackpool.
Did you go to the festival, sash?

Forgive my ignorance but what festival is that that's happening in London? Since I live here, I might tag along, those falafels sound too good to be missed!!
It's on 4th July, see this link for all the details:-

Is it alright for vegetarians to tag along as well, I don't want to feel out of place!
Don't worry vikster. I'm a vegetarian myself, and I'm happy to go to vegan events. After all, if it's vegan, it's vegetarian! And vegan food is yummy.
yeah i went to the festival. Havnt eaten my free hempseeds yet though..
we went to the earth cafe for lunch and it really was the nicest vegan cafe i have ever been too. its in the manchester buddest temple. They even do vegan quiche!
im leaving school on friday hurray! will no longer be a school girl :hi:
hope y'all doing good xx
Great to hear you had some fun. I got some free hempseeds, and i pretty much ripped open the package and started munching.
Great to hear you had such a cool time! Pity we didn't bump into you! I'm starting to wonder if you noticed us!
I did look out for you and then i saw the photos of you all after.
isnt it wierd that weve all been in the same room together but not acctually met?
hopefully ill come to the next meetup, when ever it may be!
hehe see ya x

I didn't get chance to say this earlier because I have had lots of lots of pointless essay and exam stuff to prepare for, but I had a really really great time and it was so wonderful meeting all of you in person.
And the food was so yummy too.
ive got my stinkin exams now too
what exams are you doing purplegurl?
good luck anyway :)
take it easy xxx
hehe, purple. You should have tried the cayenne chocolate!
Glad to see you enjoyed it! If they have one next year in the northwest, sign me up!

Sash - just finished Economics (ewk) and Philosophy. I hate economics. But I don't have to do any more now (yay!). I'm doing Psychology and Philosophy next year which is much more interesting but also more exam and essay heavy. Never mind. I might graduate one of these days :) What exams are you doing?
Loki - I am soooo annoyed I didn't try the Ceyenne chocolate! I'm gonna like order it off the internet or something with lots of that carob sort because that's really nice.
Btw, can you buy tofurky (or what that stuff was at the door that were giving away free) in the UK? I've never seen it before.
I've not seen tofurkey, but I've heard about it from many USA-based VBers. So when i saw it, I thought "Lets give it ago." It was alright.
The cayenne chocolate wasn't to my taste, but it's one of those things which one must try once.
We gotta have a north-west based meetup again. Especially if it involves falafel. I would suggest blackpool, but we don't have any veg places or anything like that. Although we have a lot of rock, rollercoasters which catch fire and some crazy peeps.
hi y'all
PurpleGrrl-ive done fine art and textiles, and did english lit today. then ive got child development, french, maths english and science
im hopeing to do a BTEC diploma in adventure spoerts next year *hurray*
where are you from? uk i guess but was it down south?
as for chocolate...well green and blacks for me:)
and jellybeans from veganstore are very tasty
im going to a national vegetarian week picnic tomorrow with some people from the vegetarian society where i went for work experience and im making falafel to take! if only i could send you some loki, ah well one day hey?
you know like in the firt ever futurama where they have those tunnels you go in which can take you anywhere....theyre so cool
if we had them then we could have meet ups with like all the vb.ers in one go....like a massive VB commune....
have a nice weekend everyone xxx
PS. liverpool is a good place, theres lots of trains and planes there, theres stuff to do and stuff to eat, The egg cafe is vegetarian/vegan and you get loads of food for what you pay-
im liking it :smitten:
My sister is at Liverpool Uni.she says she's noticed a vegetarian place, and i should perhaps check it out sometime. Thing is though, she's finished for the year.

A friend of mine said the Dalai Lama was in Liverpool yesterday on Friday whom she went to see to shake hands with and to see in person!...wow!.... Did anyone else hear of his prescence in Liverpool?... (wherever you live)... I don't live up near Liverpool so I was less likely to know of his visit.

There's been quite a lot on the news about the Dalai Lama's visit last week, notably him not meeting Tony Blair.
yeah my friend went to his seminar in the liverpool anglican cathederal on thursday, she said it was cool but i havnt spoke to her properly because that was on a text
