Oh they are o/k If I was going to vote , maybe them .
Did you change the size of your shower head before you voted for them .

I hardly ever shower anyway, I haven't showered in about 2 weeks, it's usually once every month or so that I do (it's just pure laziness on my part)

I'll just wait a while for everyone to regret voting for National, ahaha. But it's kind of scary how people seem to think of John Key as their savior or something.
For my first election, i voted Green. I was excited about it, haha, but I've been told this wears off fast... to be replaced by disillusionment? Ah well.

I never expressed any political fever, if you look at my posts you'll see that I never attacked the National party, I never posted about being angry that National won, and I never deffended the parties that I most align myself with.

Well o/k , but i don't think it would make great ^party policy as an alternative to smaller shower heads .
I travelled around once (the South Island ) lived rough and easy , didn't shower much , no big deal .

Apparently there is a Vegan food festival happening Sunday 8th of December, 10am-4pm in West Auckland.
Anyone know any further details? It's around Don Buck drive/Royal Road area apparently...

So I'm transitioning to veganism and so far the hardest things for me to give up have been junk food... although I have found some vegan options recently so I'm feeling a lot better about that aspect of things.
But the other thing I find really difficult is finding vegan toiletries and cleaning products for my flat. I have no idea what products are vegan, what companies don't test on animals etc... I am a student so I'm hoping there is some reasonably main stream stuff easily available. I'm living in Hamilton with my parents til the end of Jan and then will be flatting in Chch, they are both reasonable sized cities (in NZ terms anyway) so I figure there must be something out there, but I just don't know where to look.
Has anyone got any good tips? I basically need a list or something from a local source, or just tell me what you use and where you buy it so I can try and find something!

BTW , have you tried the neatest vegan restaurant in NZ in Hamilton , I  think its in Ward St , just up from the Warehouse across the road from the Bells opticians< think that's there name ....amazing lovely people run it .
Hopefully we can get a NZ forum up and running and we can index all these sorts of things .

Ooh no I didnt know that there was a vegan restaurant there.... I have heard something about a chinese place in that area - is that the one you are thinking of?
That place online looks pretty good, the only problem being they are waaaay out of my price range! As a student I can't afford a hell of a lot - I am willing to spend a bit more than usual to make sure I'm buying vegan but it still has to be affordable.

.
Could be , its unique , all smorgasbord type dishes and they weigh your plates with the amount on food on them and charge accordingly :beatnik:.

Well I had some success with vegan personal care products. Discovered that lush are completely vegetarian and label all their vegan products clearly as being vegan. No store in Hamilton unfortunately but they do have two in chch where I will be living from Feb onwards. I also went into the body shop and found some soap that was vegan - don't really want to support the body shop too much as I don't fully trust their reputation but for the moment they will do. I havent run out of shampoo yet but when I do I will check out Weleda, which I saw a few days ago in a hair salon.
