Hey! Has anyone else heard about the following:
Come and join “Compassionate Steps : Walk for the Animals’” across Napier town centre on the 19th of April. The march will culminate at Napier’s Soundshell where there will be speakers, stalls, music and vegan food - to highlight the plight of the VARC beagles and demand a ban on scientific research using cats and dogs.
All animal lovers and their families, including the family pooch, are encouraged to join in on the walk! Guest speaker Green MP Sue Kedgley will speak of the secrecy of animal research in New Zealand. SAFE has called on the Minister responsible for animal welfare to place an immediate moratorium on all current beagle research and is demanding a ban on the use of companion animals for research purposes.
STARTS 1pm, Saturday, 19 April 2008 at the Soundshell, Marine Parade, Napier. See you there! There will be a free concert after the walk.

I can't believe I didn't hear about this! I live so close to Napier. I would definitely have gone if I'd known. =[

All Blacks lost to SA.
...I mean, this is a terrible loss! The All Blacks are the best team ever! (Of course you don't have to win competitions to be the best...)

Yet, NZ still loses, because a lot of Kiwis take rugby far too seriously.

Nope. I hate staying in bed in the mornings. Even staying up until 3-5am I was up just after 10am... Then next week I'll be back to getting up at 7-7.30am for school. =[ 8-9am, that's a nice getting up time.

I used to live in Titahi Bay my whole life though we moved to Ngaio in Wellington last April, and there's a vegan resturant I like in Wellington called Aunty Menas that's on Cuba Street.

I wish I'd been able to go to rock2wellington. My boyfriend did but I missed out. Grrr.
I'll have to look out for Aunty Menas next time I'm in Wellington. Sadly Hawkes Bay doesn't seem to have any veg*n restaurants.

No it's not, NZ's best kept secret is that John Key got bitten by a radio-active werewolf when he was 17 and as a result he's a 'wolf in John's clothing'.

I had heard something about it the day before, then was reminded when the girl who took our order at Breakers yesterday mentioned it when i ordered a veggie meal. =D
Yum, Breakers two days in a row.
So, what happens if we get bitten by John Key?

Those select few that do start to crawl around the floor of the Beehive (sometimes shooting venom) and start hissing when not speaking Parseltongue.
