hubby and i are off to bali for our honeymoon... the paper on the weekend listed about one third of the world (i think) as having some kind of travel warning at the moment, so worrying won't make any difference!

I feel in love with the word once i discovered the meaning and well i'm slightly obessed with the colour blue. When starting up a hotmail account serendipity was already taken so i played around with adding another word and have stuck with it since.

What prompted you to add new to your name?

well, hubby's surname is Newbury, and once we decided to tie the knot i thought "cool, i can have the artist's name of Kat New... wicked!"

my full first name is Katrina, and my surname is Barter... i love my familt heritage etc... but i'm actually quite excited about a change of name...

unlike a few years ago, when i was very possessive of it and REFUSED to change it when we got married (i.e... thisis 2nd engagement... i got otchy feet and had to tavel for two years, now that is out of my system and i'm ready for domestic bliss!)...

now i think... hey, it's just a name... ( i sound like juliet!)...

i am me, the name doesn't affect my spirit...

and it's fun 2 change!

and Kat New sounds much better for an artist than Katrina Barter or even Kat Barter (people call me Kat anyway... that only started when i travelled, and hubby actually hates it! but he can cope with other calling me that... i am "treena" to him...

it's nice 2 have different names from different people...

I'm on the other side of the Great Dividing Range (at the bottom of the foothills leading up into it). Me and some mates were going to go to Orange (or was it Mudgee) for the weekend back in May but we couldn't organise ourselves at the time.
