Yes she did (I think...?) Carlo is not a loveable rogue (IMO), loveable rogues don't say "I hate my mum" on national tv or refer to women as b*tches all the time, or comment that women are best when dressed up and shut up etc. He is a misogynist. I usually get on with guys great but not to the expense of women, I am a big believer in women sticking together because our whole society pits women against each other constantly, and I am sick of it.
If you were in the house and had a problem with Belinda not being herself, wouldn't you say something to her rather than saying to her face "no, there's nothing wrong" and then b*tching about it? That's the difference betwen handling something with maturity and being a d*ck.
The house is IMO not duller, but should be less painful to watch (and cleaner!). I can't stand seeing anyone in that position, on the outer. I know too well what it feels like. And I think that's half the reason I couldn't stand his behaviour. I found Belinda quite annoying right from day 1 but I still wouldn't treat her like that...

What about Marty from Big Brother 2? He goes in, leaving his girlfriend on the outside, then gets it on with that dopey airheaded bimbo Jess, and has a blase attitude about how his GF will be feeling. And the whole time he's seen as a typical Aussie larrikan. I only hope his and Jess' life together sux, that they end up miserable and hating each other
And there's Damien.... what a sleazy stupid twat that guy was (and is).
Big Brother really shows us what filth and scumbags plague society.

Kurm, I like Jess. I liked her so much I got my photo taken with her (with_open_eyes, you can see Jess in the gallery, that picture is up there). She's just a nice person. A bit silly maybe but not nasty, and she wasn't taken, but everyone blamed her for that relationship anyway. Again, double standards.
Also, WOE, the bigbrother website has photos of the current housemates. http://www.bigbrother.optus.com.au We should probably stop talking about it though as we're turning this into a BB thread rather than an Australian thread!
Kurm, if I ever got onto BB I hope you wouldn't say things like that about me :(

When does this thing end? I'm sick of it already.

I don't totally blame Jess, although she could have avoided him. Marty's the one I really have a problem with.
I wouldn't say anything about you if you were on BB (so long as you don't give me any reason to ;) ).

Not soon enough, TAG! Then perhaps we can get Seinfeld or Raymond back on at 7pm. I do hope there's no 4th one (like Survivor is up to Survivor friggin' fifteen or something).
The sooner this "reality TV" fad dies the better.

Thought the public SHOULD be aware of all those, such as Belinda's sister, who have committed murder so we can be wary of who to avoid.... plaster their faces all over the place (include rapists and child molestors).
I only just read this.
I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree more. When someone goes to gaol for a crime like these, and then re-emerges into society, they need a good motivation not to commit another crime. They need to feel as though they have a chance to do it better this time, live within the law, build bridges with the community, and create a new life so they have something to lose.
If you publicise a person's history and crimes, they have no reason to reform. They're surrounded by fear, anger and prejudice. What's their choice? You cut off their option to live lawfully, so they'll just reoffend.
It's actually not the safest way to treat a criminal. Prevention is the best way to protect us all (eg. treating people with mental illnesses, eradicating poverty, ending drug prohibition and treating drug addicts medically, improving education and housing). However, rehabilitation is the second best method. Give people who commit crimes a way to live and something worth losing (ie. a home, a career, a family) and they will want to avoid going back to gaol.
OK, rant over :).

I do volunteer work that is web related... but nothing that involves me having to leave the house because it would only be animal related and they are all too far away for me without licence. When I have a licence and a bit more free time I would like to volunteer for some animal rescue org, but not right now.

Not (the upcoming) Australian Idol! Before it even begins, let's ban it from being talked about.
I'd like to see a show called Australian Idle, about people who 'ave a go at being dole bludgers. Watch them deal with Centrelink, sleep all morning, and drink beer at the pub.
Or it could be about Council Road workers (ever see them, 20 standing around while one guy digs?).

Speaking of the Western Suburbs and the dole, does anyone remember Triple M (Sydney)'s Suburban Songs from 2001? They had some classics.

How about that Aussie dollar? Around 66 US cents, and predicted to get up to about 70.
And the budget..... like most Aussies (even supporters of the Coalition), I think that $4 tax cut should have gone to health and education (both public, not private). I hope this is Howard hammering more nails into his coffin. Not happy, John.

Happy about the dollar... especially if it stays like that while I'm over there! Will make things much easier for me.
The budget is crap. I can't believe that unis are going to be allowed to charge 30% on top of HECS... bloody education for the bloody rich.... grrr....

I'm so angry bout the budget.
Just you wait in ten years time the farking government will be bitching about a lack of professionals. No doctors, nurses, architects etc Cuz no-one could afford to go to uni. Stupid Howard!
