It has white socks, so it *won't* be the same as your other black cats! :)

Aww... I'd love it. I so love black cats with white socks! But I have reached my limit of two permanent cats. I'll still take in semi-permanents, but no more forever cats.

I know what you mean Kiz. I had three which was fine by me - then I met my bf and he has two. They are all rescues and no way either of us was gonna part with any (of course) so when he moved in so did they. It was quite a fun month as they all redeveloped the hierachy and decided who 'owned' which chair/bed corner/room. The other night we actually had four in bed with us and one on a bedside table. The whole family :)

Napoleon, what a cool cat name.

He was totally a napoleon too. had the 'little man' complex, and would sit in the corner of a room, watching us and plotting our demise.

my brother called him a dandy fop, lol, because he was SUCH a priss. And if you touched him when he didn't want pettings, he'd give you a dirty look then clean his fur. he was an awesome cat.

Kiz

I had a cat who did that. If you touched her when she was not in the mood she'd carefully clean the place you had touched. I'd get her back though. I'd wait till she was washing herself for real, then point to a place she had finished with, saying "missed a bit!". She'd go back and wash that spot, just in case. :D

gah. Rene I am considering it but... I don't know. I live in Newtown. When are you taking her in?

Soonish I think Amy unfortunately my allergies are really playing up. I am in Leichhardt if you wan to come visit her.

She loves all people, and is so playfull and cute..if I could figure out a way of becoming allergy free I'd keep her. She does make my heart go all mushy :)

I'm in Melbourne.

The last thing we need is more states. Lets get get rid of them altogether and save money on state politician's super payouts!

Why not keep the states - they're not so bad - just get rid of the bloody lousy politicians!!

Are swords restricted weapons here? I'd like a couple of those long, thin swords to decorate my wall.

DH agreed!!

When can we come get her? Or can you come drop her off (we are without a car, tho we can come by bus if we can pick up a carrier somewhere)?

PM me! :)

Johann is envious. :(

Has anyone else tried Sanitarium's Veggie Delights foods? I bought Faux Classic Hot Dogs, Curried veg. sausages, and a smoked deli log today (everything else had egg whites), they're all bloody delicious-- though frighteningly real (the deli log smells just like Strasburg does). The sausages even have little bits of 'gristle' in them.

It's too bad they put egg whites in the Soy Rashers, because they look delicious.

Yeah I really like their Classic Hot Dogs -- they're pretty tasty :)
I've never tried the Rashers though -- but yeah they do look pretty yummy.

Oh and Rene -- Bella is a boy. ;) DH renamed him to Horatio, seeing that Bella was a bit emasculating for a boy kitty

Yeah I like most of their stuff apart from the new nuggets. When they repackaged all the products a few weeks back they changed the texture of the nuggets and now they're all rubbery tasting :(

ETA (well actually you never know, Bella/Horatio may be suffering from Gender Identity Disorder...in which case we really don't know whether we have it right or not lol :) )

Queensland's probably your best bet, they usually have quite mild winters there. Most states have at least some sunshine in winter though. Victoria probably has the least.

good luck with your move btw :sunny:

Does Vic really have the least sunshine? I thought it'd be tassie.

... oops that isn't really a part of Australia, my bad :p

Tassie is kind of sunny. Cold, but fairly sunny. Don't move to Far North Queensland! It rains solidly for half the year. They don't call it summer "the wet" for nothing.

is brisbane a good bet? sydney? cairns?

yeah, what were you thinking :)

actually, I didn't bother to mention poor ole Tassie as generally speaking, it has the least sunshine of all the states so if I had Seasonal Affective Disorder I pick that last as a place to live.

Ladyaprille, Brisbane is great for sunshine but it's a tropical climate so it's fairly humid and you get a fair bit of rain in summer. Sydney has plenty of sunshine in winter and you don't get the tropical stuff. Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne all have mild winters and plenty of sunny days in comparison to England. Canberra is generally colder in winter than a lot of other places in Oz. Darwin in the Northern Territory is very warm and tropical as well, it's more of a casual outback sort of lifestyle there, which I'm not really into, but lots of people like it.

well, that's enough of my essay on australian meteorology for now :) :)

Ditto to all the above. But not Cairns. Cairns is gorgeous throughout the winter but has very rainy summers.
