I'm off to the Gold Coast Big Day Out today - even though I am going to the Melbourne one next week! It'l be like a preview :)
I think it's gonna be 31 degrees and it is raining on and off so will probably be a hot stinky mud fest. heh.

Hmm not that I want to think about it (because it's upsetting and it won't help) but wanted to post that my heart goes out to that poor kitten - there are some truelly evil f*ckrs out there.

Me too - glad they got them. Hope they get a SEVERE fine. Not likely though...
They got them? Good. I think no fine. Just stamp on them, run over them on bikes and break all their legs. That would do me.

Don't forget to kick them off the platform once you're done.
As for AU day, we'll be spending the day unpacking. With beer, of course.

Hello everyone I'm brand new to the forum and want to say a big hello to all you wonderful people! :sunny:
I'm from Blacktown NSW and find I'm pretty isolated here as far as vegan / vegetarian buddies go!
I'm hoping to enjoy general chat here [had a browse and am enjoying the conversations here] and want to know how to get a picture on the left side....don't laugh, I'm just dumb when it comes to these sorts of things.....
Look forward to joining in with conversations properly soon!

Hi Glenda.
From Blacktown huh? That's not far from me (Hawkesbury). I use to hang out in Blacktown a lot (waiting for trains/buses; going to the music shop to check out guitars; the library; went to Blacktown TAFE too).

Question for Aussies: what would you prefer?
1) Division of this country into more states (http://newstates.net).
2) Eradication of State governments (leaving just Federal and local governments (possibly with additional local governments; forget URLs for this).
3) Leave it.

Hi Glenda. Welcome to the boards :)
To get a picture on the left side (it's called an avatar) - check out this thread http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=13380
Or if you have a picture you want me to resize for you to the correct size then let me know here and I will send you my email address. The picture should be as square as possible, or able to be cropped to a square.
Wow. Someone else from NSW, they all seem to be from Melbourne here.

Crap, I've got nothing to do for Australia Day now except work for a client and some spring cleaning. Most of the celebrations seem to be white-fella things. A new Animal rights campaign is starting, though..... anti-lamb (as food/clothing), to take the piss out of the Aussie Day lamb campaign.
Why don't you do what you normally do? Drink beer and annoy people on internet forums? :p

What beer? VB, James Boag,a nd many others aren't suitable for vegans; Tooheys sponsor rodeos; James Squire is outta my budget. I am fast running out of beers I can drink.

Not me... I'm in QLD - just going to Melbourne for a few days to let my hair down in a town that actually knows how to put decent live music on, has some decent clubs, cafes, art galleries etc.

Is James Boag non vegan? Damn I really like that beer - what about that other Tasmanian beer - it tastes delicious. Also I think Carlton draft is vegan and that deoesn't taste too bad.
You may have to move on to vodka, Kurm.

Oooh, Coopers is okay for vegans. :D
But I wonder who/what they sponsor.
Hahn Ice is as cheap as VB. It is listed as vegan.
