When I get more I'll post the ingredients... it may have been the "chicken" nugget mix that was non-vegan... I'll do a scan when we go shopping for any obvious non-vegan ingredients.

That's helpful, thanks.
Some of that stuff (that's vegan) I actually have at my local shops.
Heh heh heh.

Right! The Croc Hunter has got to go!!

When Prime Minister John Howard dropped in on Irwin's Australia Zoo on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, the naturally ebullient Irwin introduced him to the crowd as "the greatest leader Australia has ever had" and the "greatest leader in the entire world".

I like the part about Australia being 1930s Germany/1950s USA/Soviet Union.

I couldn't for the life of me see what was non-vegan about the sauasage roll mix! :D However, after seeing the packet, I think I have seen Zoglos schnitzels in Coles! YAY!

I knew the Croc Hunter was a tosser... speaking out his arse again.

According to the Vegetarian Network of Victoria, the sausage roll mix is vegan (it might be the bugget mix that is non-vegan).

I love Zoglos stuff. Unfortunately, they are pricey and rare around here.

Okeydokey, I checked out the Sausage Roll mix and the nugget mix... the nugget mix has egg whites, and both have flavouring (which includes milk!) I know for a fact that the one I used the other day did not have milk in it... I bought it a while back, so I'm guessing they've recently changed it. Why? Idiots...

On the plus side, I found Zoglos nuggets, schnitzels and burgers! I bought the schnitzels and the nuggets (it was a small shopping trip so I went gung-ho). I also bought the Kingland cream cheese, hopefully it's not revolting.

No friggin' way ....Irwin is the man, and to prove it, he is even being called upon
to go to HongKong to help out the Chinese in hauling a croc from a river that
was discarded down a toilet by an irresponsible owner and obviously survived
to make it on into a river, which now means Steve Irwin is being draughted in!!! :)

I like Steve Irwin on the whole... I thus have no complaints myself.

I'm guessing it's bad then? Do you reckon it'd be okay to use in dips though...? Strong flavoured dips!?

I like the Tofutti "Better than Cream Cheese", but my local supermarket is very patchy about carrying it. They get it in occasionally, but not often. The Kingland one.... I was very disappointed in it. Hmmm.. might be able to make a French Onion dip out of it.

Australia does get several of their products, but as far as I know they are available in Melbourne (only seen the cream cheese in Sydney).
If I could afford it I'd move to Melbourne right now.

Well, they have some other US stuff, so it would make sense for them to start stocking it. Hmmm...

Kurm, if you find someone willing to do mail order let us know. :D

hello all...just wondering if there are any tasmanians on the board, though I know the chances are pretty slim. The other day i went to the "health food" store in Launceston, and the lady didn't have a clue what Vegan was! :( Thinking of relocating down south further, which should make it all the more interesting! Are there any recommended internet stores in Australia??? Anyone know of any vegan cheeses around, i know there aren't alot. (Australia's vegan product range needs some serious expansion! Think of all those frozen organic vegan meals in the US!.) ANYHOW! Just wanted to say hey and all :D ciao

Hello! no Tasmanian's here that I know of.

The only internet stores that I know of are http://www.crueltyfreeshop.com.au and http://www.vegano.com.au i've ordered from both & they have been good.

The only cheese that I know of that is vegan is Kingland, i've only had it in a pasta sauce type thing which wasn't too bad, but i'm not sure what it would be like in other things.

I agree, there should be a lot more vegan product ranges here!!

i was searching for info about so good on the net and found a link to don burke's website....

i typed vegan into the search engine of his site and two links came up. one about how greg chappell and his wife are vegan and the other was about a fish eating vegan - WTH !!!!!! :notvegan:

This week's celebrity gardener, Annalise Braakensiek, describes herself as a 'pescatarian' or a vegan who eats fish. Her favourite vegan dish, Negi-Miso Ramen, is healthy and low in fat. The quantities given in this recipe will serve 4 people.

i just don't get it !!! ggggggrrrrrrrr
