okay, this is from a friend in brisbane who posted on another message board about world vegan day >>>
Some of the hippy activist food not bombs crew in Brissy are having a picnic/party in New farm park on the 2nd of Nov, Ill probably be there, so maybe we can spread the word to punky types, and join there picnic. Maybe bring a boom box, crank some tunes...
so, send me a PM if you want the email address of my friend who wants to do something. :vebo:
p.s. this is actually for the sunday, the day after world vegan day .... hehe

What happened to our country when Bush visited? He's done enough damage to his own, why does ours have to suffer when he shows up here? Glad he wasn't here long and has gone..... can't wait until Howard is out (not that the other option is any better).
Ugh, I don't find anything appealing about this country any longer.

:dizzy: What did he do to us? (I'm inebriated
[that looks odd] so type sloooowww) The other option is very similar according to some political thing I read... I'm green now dammit...

There was the way Canberra was locked down. Protests were strictly controlled, no public were allowed into Parliment, no Aussie media were allowed interviews, the barbecue guest list was not representative..... basically Dubya left with no more of a clue about how Aussies feel than he had before he came here.
I believe moths were even poisoned so as to not hamper his visit (I dunno, maybe they were afraid he would choke on one).

Well, except for Bob Brown and Kerry Nettle heckling him... and yes I heard about the poisoning! WTF? I see what you mean now... pretty weird yes. It's like "poor Dubya will have his feelings hurt"...

Tomorrow morning I start my "three day" journey to the land down under.. excited kitten! hehe.
I want to again thank everyone for their wonderful suggestions! I've made plans for sure not to miss the awesome orgasm place (don't worry, I've written it down! hehe) and am just so excited.
Thanks folks!
If you think you'd like to hook up or something while I'm down there, I'd love to meet vegans on my trip, it'd totally make my day! Feel free to email me if you'd like to at lacykitten@hotmail.com ... :)

We're really not sure how long we're in any one place, we're in Australia for 6 weeks total... basically going to play it by ear. But we do fly out of Sydney on the 12th AM so we'll probably be there at least a couple days! It really depends what else takes our time...

Well, if you wanna meet up, let me know.
And here's something you might want to try in Sydney (it's about $150 AU).

Has anyone else tried Sanitarium's Vege Sausage roll mix? I made it today and YUM! I made spinach and tofu triangles with the leftover pastry... :lick:
I saw that the last time I was in the city! Is it vegan?

I use the Sanitarium TVP. There's a few other things besides the TVP and Sausage Roll mix, and I know one has a non-vegan ingredient (definitely not the TVP). I can't recall which though.

I don't have the packet anymore... I didn't notice anything obviously non-vegan but I don't know all the numbers etc....

Sanitarium's web site is of no help.
