Anyone else pissed off with all those ads saying RED meat is HEALTHY. Its so stupid and at the end it goes "we love to boggy".

Those ads crack me up!
Specially with the music!!!!
They are so funny!!
They are butchers and they are dancing!!
How can that not be funny?!??!

Telling the generation of tommorow that eating meat is healthy is just telling them to be obese and those new ads which came on like Friday Mc Donalds with Justin Timberlake aren't gonna help. If you ask me the whole world is corrupt I suggest we move to another planet. Preferbly Venus one day there is longer than one year.

I think you are mistaken. One year on Venus is 224.7 Earth days.
It's surface temp. is 465*c. hmmmm, then it would be a nice place to live!

Not eating meat doesn't neccessarily make you lose weight. I'm kinda starting to like earth so I might stay here!
Have fun on Venus..
Lol! Why didn't you chose uranus?!?!
Cause then I could have said "Have fun on uranus"

(Yes, I know I'm immature)

Yeah but eating meat will probably make you fat I mean 25% of children in Adelaide are fat, and most of the time I see them at Mc Donalds on the rare occasion I'm outside and thats just to go to the bank and buy stuff. I like the new brocli :bobo:

Well I ment like one Venus year is shorter than a Venus day, sorry I should been more correct.

LOL Michael, eating meat won't make you fat. Eating excessively will (and this includes excessive amounts of meat). Eating junk food excessively will. If eating meat made you fat, there'd be a whole lot more actresses who are vegetarian...

Not that I have any scientific research to base this on, but I really think that not eating meat does make you loose weight to an extent. I mean i don't understand how there can be fat vegetarians unless they eat too many carbs. Anyway, here's my proof.
My dad got sick and was told he couldn't eat red meat anymore. Dad was like the biggest meat eater I know, but now he can only eat grilled fish and chicken. He's lost so much weight, it's the slimmest he's been in 10 years, he had to go an buy all new pants. Mum thinks it's great coz he looks good and I think it's great cuz he stopped eating red meat (which means the rest of my family has had to cut back to accommodate him).
Someone I know (she's in her late 40s) had to go on a detox diet cuz she got sick and that meant she had to go vegetarian for 4 weeks. She said she lost so much weight and she'd never felt healthier.
Go veg*ns!!!!!! :bobo: lovin the brocolli

A lot of meateaters eat too much fatty meat. Fatty bacon, fatty mince, fatty pork, chicken skin etc. If you couldn't lose weight eating meat then there'd be no point in weight watchers and all, but they work. It's the fat (and overeating) that is bad. That said, some people are more suited to a veg*n diet (like myself) and will lose weight neturally with no meat (and dairy). but not all people can lose weight on a veg*n diet, even if they eat well and exercise. It's always an individual thing...

Not too sure about things in Sydney, but if you're looking for gummi bears it may be worth checking out the bulk bins in supermarkets. My sister found gelatine-free gummi bears & wine gums at Woolworths & New World(in Wellington).
Also, some health/organic shops have them, but they are really expensive there.

I love gummi things :lick:

As far as I am aware they only have marshmallows in the US

jelly tots (from supermarkets/gas stations) are vegan apart from the red ones
jelly beans - starburst and allens (apart from red and white) and some jellybelly.
icecream tubs - so good and fruccio are both beautiful and have heaps of favours, both vegan. blue ribbon soy is vegan apart from honey. vitari fruit sorbet is vegan. (supermarkets)
chocolate - sweet william soy choc (health food, supermarkets) and pink lady dark chocolate (grace bros) and nestle dark choc chips (supermarket).

Ban Live Sheep Trade

PROTEST Saturday OCTOBER 11th,
1PM
cnr of elizabeth and albert sts,
BRISBANE

Animal deaths over the last 20 years, some of them on state-of-the-art new ships, show the live export trade cannot be reformed

“Australia’s reputation as a food exporting country is unlikely to escape unscathed from the worldwide media coverage engendered by the apparently futile search for a port to disembark this latest cargo of suffering animals...

Make no mistake about it; the live sheep trade is a barbarous and cruel business, with sheep kept in tightly-packed pens on open decks. For weeks on end, they endure a man- made hell, with all too many of them dying from infections, from extremes of temperature or other hazards of the voyage.” RSCPA NZ
